Meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by President Christenson, New member,
Russ Jankowski, was introduced and welcomed. Agenda was approved on motion

expenditures in amount of $20,363.56. Motion carried. Motion J. Wolf, second

Communications: Letters received regarding resignation of Jane Mundro, and
appointment of Russ Jankowski to the unexpired term. R. Jankowski was thanked
J. Mundro for service to the board.

Old Business:
Friends of the Library: to d;ate there are 94 paid exhibitors for the
February 28 Craft Fair, and $3,230 registration fees deposited. Steering committee
met January 15, and copy of minutes distributed.
Trust fund: End of year balan8:e $16,024.67. $3,000 deposited from
craft fair registrations, deduction .Eor automated card catalog is pending.

Initiatives; MUSKEGO PUBLIC LIBRARY Statistical Summary 1992; and MUSKEGO PUBLIC
Interlibrary cooperation: R. (Christenson reported meeting held last
week with Jefferson County Library Bsard and WCFLS representatives. Jefferson County
maintains "won't contribute" stance. An impartial mediator may be the next step
to resolve cross over borrowing payments and continuing service. WCFLS Board met
yesterday. R. Christenson was congratulated as the new board president. He
advised:there will be a change in the summer reading program; federal grant
devices demonstrated; money will be given to resource library-Waukesha Public
received for assisting hard of hearing and deaf peopEe to use Libraries and
Library- for enhanced reference, and they will train local libraries on use.
R. Christenson spent a day in Madison contacting legislators to spend money
on library service and fund cross over borrowing.

Long-range planning: Committee met this date at 7 p.m. WISCONSIN LIBRARY
BUILDING PROJECT HANDBOOK will be reviewed, and presentation compiled for
exchange of ideas with city personnel.

Resolving pending fine disputes: there are none this date. Twenty eight
overdue fines have been referred to collection agency.
