MUSKEGO PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD
MUSKEGO CITY HALL
Present: Board members R. Christenson, J. Mundro, J. Roberson, J. Wolf, N. Berken,
D. Carter, R. Leichtfuss, and Director Holly Sanhuber.
Meeting was called to order at 7:30 by President Christenson. Agenda was approved
on motion J. Wolf, second N. Berken. Minutes of the July 1.1992 meeting were
approved as corrected on motion R. Leichtfuss, second N. Berken. Next meeting
scheduled September 1, 1992. Long range planning committee will meet at 7 p.m.
prior to the meeting.
Treasurer's report: Motion J. Wolf, second J. Roberson to approve July expenditures
in amount of $20,615.67. Motion ca.rried. Motion J. Wolf, second J. Roberson to
approve July federated system fund expenditures in amount of $2,316.20. Motion
carried.
Communications: none Guest comments: none
Old Business:
Friends of the Library: Craft Fair date set for February 28 at Muskego High School.
Trust Fund: Balance this date $15,754.82.

Penny Halle made presentation of one of the twenty "ROAD SHOW'' programs developed
and made possible by LSCA grant. These kits will be available for check out to
professional day care providers in September.
Interlibrary cooperdation: R. Christenson reported the WCFLS board met
August 3 at Butler Public Library. The board will meet with Mid Wisconsin
of library services. DPI is considering revamping the formula for dispersement of
System August 21 regarding payment for crossover borrowing, or subsequent denial
state money giving more weight to "area." Current formula is based on area,
local expenditures, and population.
Automation: Holly advised pro.3ress in cleanup of WISCAT: ability to look
at a problem and fix it; and staff l'larning the system.
Long-range planning: PLANNING AND ROLE SETTING FOR PUBLIC LIBRARIES
A MANUAL OF OPTIONS AND PROCEDURES >:able of contents were circulated for review.
The introduction chapter will be reviewed to determine if additional copies should
be ordered for the committee.
New Business:
There are no fine disputes pending this date.
