Present: Board members R. Christenscsn. J. Mundro, J. Roberson, J. Wolf, N. Berken,
D. Carter, R. Leichtfuss, P. Pa.tterson, and Director Holly Sanhuber.
Meeting was called to order at 7:30 by President Christenson. Agenda was approved
on motion D. Carter, second R. Leict.tfuss. Minutes of the June 2,1992 meeting
were approved on motion R. Leichtfus, second D. Carter. Next meeting scheduled
August 4, 1992.
Treasurer's report: Motion R. Christenson, second J. Roberson to approve June
expenditures in amount of $29,746.5?,. Motion carried. Motion R. Christenson,
second J. Roberson to approve June federated system fund expenditures in amount
of $2.029.06. Motion carried.

Librarian's. report: read and:.placed on file. (copy attached)
Interlibrary cooperation: R. Christenson reported on the WCFLS board meeting--
contract agreement reached with Lake.shore System; approved budget for next year
including hiring of two part time employees; build up of resource,reference
supply at resource center in anticipation of technology explosion.
Automation: Holly distributed article on manual cleanup of WISCAT, and
advised automation is "plugging alorlg."
Long-range planning: D. Carter displayed graphs he had prepared to date
using "regression analysis program."' N. Berken was appointed to the committee.
Committee will meet September 1 at i p.m. prior to regular meeting.

Discussion was started on the 1993 budget. Draft will be prepared for
the August meeting, and adoption in September. It was suggested to open a
category for audio/visual materials which are demanded by patrons and have
been funded by donations and outside sources; and to review print material
budget to maintain acquisitions in relation to rising costs.

LIBRARIAN'S REPORT
JUNE, 1992
13,000 checkout again this month, and three days this
summer of 1,000 checkout. Lots of children and families.
Besides the six programs provided by WCFLS, we are
offering playground visits to Horn and Jensen, Family Movie
Night, "the lunch bunch," storyhours, and special one-time
programs.
A check from WCFLS, representing the intersystem
borrowing payment, came in the amount of $21,632.00.
Penny attended a workshop on communication skills, and
an ETN on the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Holly represented the library at a system budget
meeting.

cassette are also well-used, and we are getting increasing
requests for CDs.
The video collection is very popular, and relatively

We have been blessed with many donations to the
booksale this spring. Judy has been striving to keep up,
and we are finally winning. The mountains of books in my
office are almost gone.
