Meeting was called to order at 7:30 by President Christenson. Agenda was approved

Treasurer's report: Motion R. Chriscenson, second J. Roberson to approve May

Interlibrary cooperation: R. Crhristenson reported on DPI conference recently
held in Madison. Focus was on high technology of the future and the impact it
will have as competition for library services as technology becomes more accessible
and more reasonable in price. This is definitely a factor for long range consideration.
He also attended WCFLS board meeting, yesterday. Some items covered on the agenda:
contract agreement with Waukesha Public Library as system resource library and
compensation for these services; Bill 557 passed, but Menomonee Falls and Oconomowoc
libraries waffling on closing their doors to Mid Wisconsin System borrowers.
Automation: Holly advised Penny has completed training. No bar codes have
been printed due to problem in data base, and two weeks behind schedule.
New Business:
There were no pending fine disputes this date.

MAY, 1992
day after Memorial Day, the check-out was over 900. Returns
were heavy all month.
May was a slower month, with checkout of 9,000. The
Penny took her show on the road and visited all of the
grade schools to promote the summer reading program. She
also attended a meeting 0;: children's librarians, and was a
speaker at Adventure Day iit Lakeview and Rock-and-Read at
Tess Corners.

Charlene attended a Multitype Library planning meeting,
Karen Hurd and Diane Krall came here to promote the
county homebound delivery program and to explain statistics

The book discussion qroup is thriving. They just

Don Carter's wildflower photographs were extremely well
received. The June display will promote the summer reading
program.
