LIBRARIAN'S REPORT
MARCH, 1992
Lots of news this month. We were busy in February, with
over 12,000 items being checked out, and heavy returns.
The video collection opened yesterday, and already there are
requests for more, and less limits on checkout... All of
the crew has worked to provide this new service, and we have
also had volunteer help from "retired" librarian Ann
Schubert.
The Friends of the Library received a $75.00 donation, which
will be matched by Wisconsin Bell.
Discovery Days and Mustard Seed Preschools came for tours
April.
and storyhour, and regular storyhours continue through
Judy attended a workshop on services to homeschoolers.
Summer Reading Program workshops were also held. The system
will once again be providing free program materials.
March is student Art Month, and the library is ablaze with
colors and alive with textures. Thanks to Penny who
arranged the exhibit.
Also, many thanks to the staff for the extra work involved
in automation, getting the videos ready for display, and
participating in the art fair. What's that phrase about
"...above and beyond the call of duty?"
PRELIMINARY figures show that the Fair took in close to
$9,000.00. This is BEFORE expenses.
