Linda and I have one more cataloging class to attend. The
changes in the Anqlo-American Cataloqing Rules have become a
bit more intelligible, but we are heartened by the
instructor's motto, "It is better to be logical than right!"
Many of the libraries around the country who use the AARCS
software met at Brookfield Public Library to discuss changes
they would like to see in t.he software. Linda and I feel we
learned a lot. It is very gratifying to see the company
truly interested in the functionality of their product.
They have made virtually a1.l of the changes suggested last
year. These are reflected in the many upgrades we have
received which Joe Sommers has loaded into the AS 400 on our
behalf.
We are very excited at the prospect of a volunteer who is
going to begin indexing the Muskeqo Sun.
Penny gave a Scout tour, and regular storyhours have been
held. As is customary, the children paraded in their
Halloween costumes last week. We have been trying unlimited
enrollment, using the Muskego Room. So far, things seem to
be going well, although groups of fifty are common in the
morning.
