Meetin(: was called to order at 7:30 by President Christenson.

meeting regarding the Yriend:, of IVisconsin Libraries "Sampler Contest"
plaque won, and the WClg'LS :;tz.te Aid Improvement Grant of $5,000
received to build a video collection. Board members invited to attend.
Report on joint board meeting-Jane Mundro, deferred to July meeting.
Pages 1-4 of the WCPLS Long-range plan were discussed. Pages 4-9 will be reviewed in Auguslt.

LIBRARIAN'S REPORT
June 5, 1990
Another busy month, as students finish (neglected) homework,
reading enjoyment.

We have been told we will have two YEP students (20 hours each)
this summer, as well as boys making restitution for the fanbelt
incident.
The new maintenance man has repainted the inside of the display
case, and will be doing some work on the pillars. He has also
finished most of the safety improvements suggested last year by
the insurance company.
This month's display case exhytbit was done by the Rec department.
We also displayed the Muskego Historical Society's raffle items
and a promotional board describing Safety City.
The June display is the work of the Tudor Oaks sketch class and
their teacher, James Westbroo:<.
Penny and Teri took their show on the road to promote the summer
reading program to children in grades K-5. They visited each
school, and were enthusiastically received.
Melissa Matz, former staff member, will be presenting some of the
summer programs provided by t:?e library system.
Day Care Providers, Vernon Da:! Care and students from Country
Meadows were our guests, and regular storyhours were concluded.
