We received a gift copy of - Thorns Register from Lanson Industries. With last year's state aid grant we purchased over 750 paperbacks for children. Linda and Thelnla have been processing these in spare moments, and they were put out for circulation, and are going fast. Storyhour, bedtime storyhour, munchin lunvhin, and a party marked the conclusion of the summer reading program. Penny and Teri took part in the Community Fest parade, and Penny told stories both at the Fest and at the Milwaukee County Zoo's reading party. Michael Trowbridge of Muskego won the gorilla raffle. A summer reading evaluation workshop was held at Waukesha. An interlibrary loan meeting bras held. The new equipment will be IBM, and the new system will be in place by the end of the year. We have put together packets of materials to be given to the parents or guardians of minors who register for library cards. The material informs them of their responsibilities for materials borrowed by their children. 36 certified letters went out to people who owe more than $20.00 each. They must settle up or find the amount in question on their tax bill. Non-residents or renters will be referred to a collection agency. The Muskego Creative Photographers' Guild is the September Artist of the Month. On the Saturday of Muskego Co.nmunity Fest, we received complaints from our patrons who could not find parking spaces. It was our understandimg that a small block of spaces would be set aside for planners, asking them to consider our needs next year. library use. I would be happy to address a letter to the
