The meeting was called tm> order at 7:36 P.M. by President Pro-tern Matheson. Aaenda was apDKOVed by motion of Leichtfuss: seconded, Mundro. Minutes of March 7, 1989 meeting were approved by motion of Wolf; seconded by Mundro. The next meeting is scheduled May 2, 1989. Treasurer's report: Motion by Wolf, seconded by Leichtfuss, to approve March expenditures of $16,767.84. Motion carried. Wolf moved, Leichtfuss seconded, to approve zlarch WCFLS expenditures of $599.15. Motion carried. Communications: Invitation from Greenfield Public Library to attend F.O.W.L. meeting April 29th. 5500.00 check from Muskeqo Lions Club Awards" qiven by WXFLS for excellence in annual reportinq. to purchase audiocassettes. Respectfully submitted, 9 Jane Mundro/Holly Sanhuber Secretaries pro-tern LIBRARIAN'S REPORT April 4, 1989 March was the third month in a row with circulation of over of all system ILL referrals out of the county for 10,000. We had over 130 interloan requests. We accounted for 15% January-February. Penny and Holly have tied up all. the loose ends from the art fair. and a final press release have been written. A volunteer, Christy Everything has been returned or re-packed. The thank-you notes so we will be ready for next year. We are putting a record of Sanhuber, has updated all exhibxtor information on the computer, profits and expenditures on the computer, so the figures will all be in one place. Teri is compil.ing the exhibitor responses, to be ready for the next FOL Steering Committee meeting. Over $7,300 has been turned over to the trust fund from the fair, not counting the silent auction items, which have not been paid for as yet. Workshops this month included non-book materials cataloging, and new reference books' review. Storyhours were given for Vernon, and for the Day Care Providers' group. Our regular groups enjoyed an Easter egg hunt in the library. Corliss Rice, the system's special needs librarian, toured Muskego Nursing Home and Tudor Oaks. Waukesha's Voluntary Action Center had the display case in March. James Westbrook's sketch club will display in April, their 12th annual show at the library. The Muskego Lions Club has give17 the library $500.00 toward the purchase of audio tapes. We will be adding unabridged recordings of books, of great benefit to the partially sighted, or to others for whom print has become a burm3en. I am proud to announce that Mus:cego has won one of the coveted Annual Agony Awards, given out '5y WCFLS for a perfect annual report.
