Dear Mr. Christenson:
At the close of the 1988 convention in St. Louis, Ms. Holly Sanhuber completed a term of
service as a member of the Committes2 to Revise Elementary School Booltlist.
We are grateful not only to Ms. Sanhuber but also to you and your institution for
encouraging her to be active at the national level.
I hope that when we next have occasion to ask for help from a member of your staff that
we can count on your assistance.
Sincerely,
Charles Suhor

LIBRARIAN'S REPORT
March 7, 1989
6 The countv has received an LSt2A arant to beain servina the - - -
so-called "special" user, who is homebound, or in a nursing home.
The county project librarian is Corliss Rice. Penny represents us
on the Special Users Committee. More details as they become
available.
Penny and Teri have begun planning the "Summer Safari" reading
program. The posters and other materials have been produced by
Lois Ehlert, a talented Milwaukee artist, and are wildly colorful.
The SRP materials are a gift to us from the library system.
Linda and Holly have attended seven demonstrations of automated
microcomputer-based systems. The committee's final report is
being written by the System's automation consultant, and will be
possible after that time.
ready in about a month. It will be presented to the LB as soon as
Storyhours began last week, with good attendance at all three
sessions. The adding of a third session should not be considered
an expansion of services. We are using a program three times,
only the actual presentation time is added. Because we have not
instead of twice. It has already been prepared by the staff, so
offered the usual even, ing programs this fall and winter, which
require preparation of entirely new material, and are given only
once, we are actually saving in the amount of time we "budget" for . programming - an excellent source of publicity, and a sound way to
introduce new users to our services.
The small audiocassette collection is now on a booktruck in the

Phyllis is our representative to the ILL committee, which has been
phasing in a new system-run operation.
We have received the 1989 payment from WCFLS. The amount was
$16,179.00.
Local scouts did our February display, to promote Scout Month.
The March display was done by the Voluntary Action Center of
Waukesha County.
February was another busy month, with circulation of over 10,000.
