Meeting was called to order at. 6:30 P.M. by President Christenson.
Agenda was approved on motion C. Buhrandt, second J. Roberson. Minutes
of the November 1 meeting were a.pproved on motion J. Wolf, second
C. Buhrandt. Next meeting sch.eduled Janua,ry 3, 1989.
Treasurer's report: Motion J. V!oli', second J. Roberson to approve
November expenditures in amourt of $13,853.88. Notion carried. Motion
J. Wolf, second J. Roberson to approve November federated system fund
expenditures in amount of $3,556.65. Motion carried.
Communications: Note from Olga. Mimier regarding Woman's Club purchase
for the Librarv. " quest comments: none

Jkiends of the Library will sponsor this date "Legends of
Trust fund amount this da.te per Jean Sanders is $34,192.94.
Librarian's report: will be mailed with minutes. (copy attached)
Interlibrary coopera.tion is in a quandry regarding equitable
payment on crossover borrowing. Committees have been appointed to
address the situation. Holly distributed memo from Kathy Gosz
recommending Ttate aid cash grants be discontinued in 1990 and these
funds be used to help lund crossover borrowing reimbursements."
Muskego Public Library is a "net lender" at this point, and could
still be compensated if this recommendation is approved.
Automation: Holly advised three 01 the six vendors have
presented demonstrations.
New Business:
recommendation the $7,580.00 1989 State Aid Cash Grank be used
for print, non-print materials, cassettes, and replacement copies.

The December display of Christnlas crafts was done by Kathy Bakula.
Muskego at a Multitype library meeting.
Penny attended a workshop on programming. Charlene represented
We continue to attend demonstr+tions of automated library systems.
Storyhours continued, as well as the monthly visit by Vernon Daycare.
The library stacks have new call number lettering, thanks to Penny.
Volunteer Maryanne Peroceschi has finished entering information about
the FOL art fair exhibitors into the computer, so we should be able to
produce a mailing list when one is needed.
Excellent publicity from the Sun has included a front-page picture and
a full-page feature on our school/library parents and reading program.
The schools have been slowly getting better about calling ahead for
assignments. High school World War I and Mythology classes are being
better served because the books are on reserve and available to all.
It was also a pleasure to meet Steve Elliott of the English
department, who shared "c1assic:s" lists with us. We are working on a
hand-out to use with students.
Nursing Home, Tudor Oaks, and to Waukesha Public Library's Outreach
The "Large Print" booklist is done, and has been sent to Muskego
department.
A tiny collection of new audio cassettes is now available for public
use. We will be doing more publicity as soon as possible.
