Friends of Library USA will be ten years old in 1989 and celebrating with a contest. Deadline €or entry is December 15, and Holly consented to prepare contest entry. 0 Trust fund goes up a little each month from donations. Deposit this month $108.00. Attendance has been better than it was during the spring, and the people from the school district are doing a super job. Public Works has put up tihe shelving at last, and we are needs to be done, too. Charlene, Teri and Cory have moved shifting the adult section a little at a time, as other work shippment of end panels has joined the first in limbo.. . the fiction section, and it is "lookin' good." Our second Cindy and Phyllis attended a meeting on communicating effectively. Charlene and Penny learned about school/library cooperation. Linda and Holly were in on the selection of micro-based vendors to view. Six demos have been arranged between 0ct.ober and January. Charlene, Linda and Holly selected paperbacks to meet the three hours. It will take considerably longer before the terms of the state aid grant. $3,500 was spent in less than books are ready for use. Right now my office looks more like a wharehouse than a work space, and reminds me of when we all shared the upstairs office. Penny attended a special users meeting, a film preview, and several scout tours this fall. She and Teri went to Green the Ellen Raskin symposium at MPL.
