The following communications were circulated: post cards from 0. Mimier
and A. Ferber; thank you from ivluskego Chamber of Commerce for Holly
being guest speaker; thank you from Muskego Woman's Club for ticket

sale for community dance; patron complaint on library noise level and
Holly's reply; patron com_olaint that the library does not have a
computer for public use and Holly's reply. Guest comments: none
Old Business:
a. Friends of the Library: Pictures from the Craft Fair were circulated,
ana coples alstrlbuted of the letter/questionnaire sent to the exhibitors
and steering committee for comments on the Fair.
b. Trust fund: account this date 922,674.63.
c. Librarian's report: read and placed on file. (copy attached)
Iiolly was requested to confer with Charlotte Stewart regarding city
policy on emergency cancellation/postponement of scheduled meetings.
d. Interlibrary coooeration: Holly and R. Christenson will meet
May 6 with Lakesnore System regarding the amount of reimbursement.
e. Automation: Holly advised Waukesha Public Library signed contract
with the vendor, and voluntezrs solicited to bar code library cards.

LIBRARIAN'S REPORT
March - April
May 5, 1987
Children's services has been busy this spring. Story-hour sessions
have been well-attended, and waiting lists have had to be taken. 23
storyhour. An Easter craft program was presented, as well as two
sessions for Vernon Daycare and one Girl Scout Tour. Two requests for
also asked for in planning next year's "Readers' Choice Program."
class reserves were received from Muskego High School. Our input was
Artists of the Month have been St. Leonard's School and the Tudor Oaks
Sketch Club. There was also a display promoting the Voluntary Action
Center of Waukesha County. Wisconsin Handweavers Inc. is the May
exhibitor.
Melissa and Teri went to the Summer Reading Program Planning Workshop
at Menomonee Falls. The Milwaukee County Zoo is providing a free
admission ticket to children wha finish the program. Melissa also
attended an A-V Committee meeting at the Falls, and the "Books for
Peace" exhibition at the Milwaukee Art Museum. She is also just
desk a bit this summer.

Lolly Bonnell is retiring, and will be moving from the area. We are
also sad to be losing Marla Sahleen. Permission has been given to
fill Lolly's job, and I will be writing the city this week about

.Along with the dandelions, spri.ng seems to bring meetings. Charlene
attended APL at Elm Grove, a re,ading workshop with Caroline Feller
represented Muskego at a system budget meeting. She and Holly
Bauer, and a children's literature conference in Madison. Featured
speakers included Jean Fritz Tom Feelings. Our "A-50 Alumni"
attended a course update.
Waukesha and Oconomowoc librari,?s are closed this week and next for
services, and takes us back to the "bad old days" before we joined the
their moves. This is somewhat disruptive of interloan and reference
system.
In the good news department, th,? Muskego Woman's Club contributed
$200.00 to the trust fund, and 'LePac will be here awhile longer, as we
won a spot in he lottery.
