lbm19860123Special Board Meeting
Muskego Public Library
January 23, 1986
Present: Eoard members Christenson, DeAngelis, Mimier, Turzinski
and Wolf; Mayor Salentine, and Holly Sanhuber.
The meeting was called to order at 1O:OO A.M. by
President, Ray Christenson. This special meeting was held to
wrong color green. Ray Chriscenson explained that he and Holly
decide what to do about library shelving which has arrived the
Sanhuber had discussed the matter when the shelving first was
delivered. Because the library has beell closed for three months,
the decision was made to install the shelving regardless of the
color. Once the shelves were loaded, it was thought the
difference in color would be negligible. Besides, if another
installer had been the low bidder, it is doubtful whether the
color could have been matched. However, the Common Council, who
has control of TIF expenditures, was not satisfied. A meeting
was held Friday, January 18th, with Paul Gessler, who represents
Library Bureau. Others in attendance were: Ray Christenson,
Frank DeAngelis, Charlene Lenzen, Olga lrimier and Wayne
Salentine.
Ray Christenson outlined the options discussed at this
meeting, and later detailed in a letter, dated January 20, 1986,
written by Assistant Library Director, Charlene Lenzen to Mr.
Gessler. (Copy attached.)
A motion %as made by Olga Mimier, seconded by Ed
Turzinski, that the Library Board recommend option number 2 to
the Common Council, namely that the supplier would send a
duplicate order of shelves, bases and end braces and the 3-foot
wall section (periodicals) in the correct color. The llibrary,
upon receipt of the shelvin,~, would have three weeks to replace
the incorrect color with thm? correct one. The incorrect shelving
would be re-boxed, using tht? same shipping cartons, and the
supplier would pay the frei:;ht both ways. Motion carried
unanimously.
It was agreed that #choice of this option would allow the
library to open as scheduieNl, would, in a short time correct the
problem, and if volunteers were solicited, not place too much
burden on the staff, who will have returned to doing regular
tasks. Meeting adjourned ai: 10:30 A. M.
Respectfully submitted,
. Holly/Sanhuber
