librarian's Report
November 1, 1983
A computer-produced 1 ist of the periodicals located in Waukesha County 1 i-
braries is now available, and will aid librarians trying to help people find in-
formation. Delphine Stapleton has worked very hard to see that our holdings have
made the union list.
Good news on the P.o. box. The city is purchasing one and it will be used for all
city departments. Thus the 190.00 cost mentioned last month will be divided among
the 1 ibrary, city hall and the police department. Mail will then be sorted on the
premises.
The fill-in shelving which arrived last month is being installed today.
are a bit disorganized, but will be back to normal soon -- we hope.

Another session of story-hour begins this Thursday.
October 20th. Attendance has been gratifying.
The last session ended
Groups from St. leonard's, Willow Edge Pre-School, Vernon Presbyterian Day Care
and Happy World Day Care Center are coming for library instruction, a tour and a
story-hour. We will have a busy time.

On Friday, October 7, 1983, a child fell in the library and cut her head on
an uncovered stack end in the children's section. She was taken to the Muskego Medi-
cal cl in~c'lwh~re three stitches were taken. The matter will possibly be handled
by the city s Insurance. End panels for all stacks not having them (which is most)
were included in the long-range shelving plan handed out last month to be considered
when and if money becomes available.
