PRESENT: Pres. Dlbb, Members Ald. Colburn, Sup't Kreuser, Mlmler, Mutter, Steln-
graeber, and Telsl. Miss Horton also present.
Mrs. Dlbb opened the meeting at 7:30 P.M.
Mrs. Telsl moved approval of the October 8, 1975 minutes, as corrected, seconded
by Mrs. Mlmler the motion carried.
NEXT MEETING: WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 14, 1976, 7:30 P.M., CITY HALL CHAMBERS.
Miss Horton received a letter from Mrs. Bernice Hawley thanking her for her help
with resource material for 'the sex education program.
Miss Horton reported attendlng"the Student Librarian assistants workshop at the
University of Wisconsin-Platteville with two staff members. They plan to attend
the annual conference In Green Bay, next ~prll. .
Of only 150 libraries In the United States, Muskego has been chosen "to Introduce
an adult film program In 1976. The program Is funded by the Modern Lanuage As-
sociation and guidelines are set up for the presentation of four Tim-Life films,
"The Six Wives of Henry VIII", liThe Search for the Nile", "Tom Browns School Days",
and "The Spol Is of Poynten". The library wi II take care of publ iclty and schedul-
Ing, the films will be shown twice weekly starting In January 1976.
No action was taken on an amendment to meeting procedure. It was suggested that
an earlier hour for a meeting might be arranged If a quorum cannot be established
at the regular time. The board will make a decision the next time the problem
a rises.
Miss Horton explained the advantages and disadvantages of replacing the present
Xerox 914 with a Xerox 3100. Mr. Kreuser moved that Miss Horton be authorized to
make arrangements to exchange the 914 model with the 3100 Xerox machine, seconded
by Mrs. Mlmier the motion carried.
The librarian will 'make arrangements with the Menomonee Falls Library to purchase
catalog cards at an estimated cost of 5-10C @ card. Other methods will be used
to supply the remainder of the catalog cards as needed.
M.r. Kreuser moved to approve the ,b i 11 s, as presented, I n the amount of $5,405.49,
seconded by Mrs. Mlmier the motion carried.
Discussion on patrons request for longer open hours on Saturdays showed that It
could be handled without added expense from additional staffing. Mrs. Mimier
moved to add two additional hours to our present 11:00-3:00 P.M. Saturday hours
changing them to 11:00-5:00 P.M. on Saturdays, seconded by Mrs. Mutter the motion
carried.
Miss Horton announced that Mrs. Lindhorst is retiring from the library effective
December 31, 1975. The secretary was instructed to write a letter of commendation
for her many years of faithful service to the library.

Perform in
Nation's Capitol
The Muskego High School Choir
has been invited to Washington
D. C. and Philadelphia to perform
as a part of our nation's Bicen-
tennial ~elebration. The choir's
concerts will take place June 17
to 20.
The Muskego High School Choir
will be one of a few ou~standing
choral groups from our ~tate to
participate 'in this continuing
project to commemorate our na- tion's 200th anniversary. A se-
ries of performances by outstand-
ing student choral groups from
across the country will extend
from October of 1975 through
October of 1976.
Performances by the choir will include concerts on the Ellipse of the White House lawn, the Cap-
itol, and Liberty Hall in Phila-
delphia.
The Muskego High School Choir
is extremely proud to be repre-
senting our school and community
at our nation's bicentennial cel-
ebra tion.

Muskego a~tists, both profes-
sional and non-professional, from
the age of 20 and over, are invi-
ted to submit original paintings
for possible purchase by the Mus-
kego Public Library as part of
its Bicentennial observance.
The theme of the paintings should
reflect" Muskego Past or Present,
1776-1976."
The entry date is May IS, 1976,
with works being received from
9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the
Muskego Public Library, Pioneer
Drive, Muskego.
A number of paintings will be
selected for exhibit during the
month of June, at the library.
From those on display, the library
will select one or more paintings
for pUrchase. A judge from out-
side the city of Muskego will help
