lbm19740507MUSKEGO PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD MEETING City Council Chambers MAY 7, 1974 PRESENT: Pres. Dlbb, members Buhrandt, Sup't. Kreuser, Leichtfuss, Mlmler, Steingraeber and Telsl. Miss Horton also present. Mrs. Dlbb opened the meeting at 7:35 P.M. Mrs. Teisl moved approval of the April 10, 1974 minutes, Mrs. Mimler seconded and motion carried. Next meeting - WEDNESDAY, JUNE 12, 1974, 7:30 P.M., COUNCIL CHAMBERS. Mrs. Buhrandt moved approval of bills in the amount of $3,966.82, Mrs. Steln- graeber seconded and motion carried. As yet no reply has been received from the Mayor about the recommended re- appointment to the Library Board of Mmes. Leichtfuss and Mlmier. According to City Hall sources, library board appointments are made In July. Mrs. Teisl reported that the I ibrarlan advisory committee has presented three possible plans for a county-wide library system for consideration by the Sys- tems Planning committee. TheIr next meeting wIll be held on May 8, 7:30 P.M., Waukesha County Court House. The Study Committee assisting Miss Horton handed out copies of their report on the questions and concerns of the board in regard to their relationship with the city. Mrs. Mimier moved to accept the study committee's report and to give the factual part of the report to the members of the Finance Com- mittee for their study at the Library Board's June meeting, Mrs. Leichtfuss seconded and motion carried. Miss Horton reported that Saturday usage of the library is lower than week- day use and asked the board to consider the possibility of closing the library on Saturdays during the summer months. It was suggested that the library keep track of Saturday use of fhe library during theMonth of June. The board will determine at the July meeting whether it 15 practical to close on Saturdays during the summer. Mr. Kreuser moved to adjourn, seconded unanimously. at 8:35 P.M.
