PRESENT: President Dibb. Members Buorandt, Czarnecki, Kreuser, Leichtfuss,
Himler, Modlinski and TefsI. Mrs. Lindhorst wàs also present.
Mrs. Dibb called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m.
Mrs. Buhrandt presented Mrs. Dlbb witi': a bouquet of roses in honor of her eJec-
tion as board president. Mrs. Dlbb expressed her appreciation for the lovely and
thoughtful gift.
Mrs. Modlinski moved approval of the ~ay 9, 1973 minutes, MiS. leichtfuss seconded
and the minutes were accepted.
The next meeting will be held on WEDNESDAY, July II, '973, 7:30 p.m., COUNCIL
CHAMBERS.

Mrs. Lindhorst read a Jetter from the dty informing the board that lvi"s. Loretta
Steingraeber has been appointed to th~~ hoard, to fin Nrs. lenz's unexpired term,
to serve until July I, 1975.
Mrs. Lindhorst reported that Mrs. Sobele.wski is interested in reactivating the
Frten~s group. She will try to get some help from members to assist with the
library story hour program. If help i 5 unavailahle the story hours wit i have
to be cancelled due to 1 ibrary pe!"S()mì'!~ vacations and budget preparations.
The library witi substitute a children's summer reading program instead.
Mrs. Lindhorst reported speaking to o~her county librarians about their p~actice
in hand 1i ng mun j c.i pa I codes and ord Ïi1é111c.es. She found that a n kept the new
codes and ordinances as passed but none kept superseded materials. 1t was sug-
gested that the library confine its service as a repository in line with the
other county i ibraries' practices. The J ibraria.n was instructed to ask Mrs.
Elger whether she includes city planning reports and other city reports with
the new city codes and ordinances.
The new waiver form for arts and crahs displaye!'s was examined. Mrs. Mimier
moved adoption of the form as present,~d by the committee for the purpose in-
tended. Mrs. leichtfuss seconded and '::he motion carried.
Mi. Kreuser reported that the carpenters he had spoken with displayed a lack of
interest in taking on such a smal! job as buiIdi:lg the dispiay case. He wi 11
continue to took for someone willing ~o do the job.
Mr. Czarnecki read a letter from the i'layo!'" expJ.;'ining that Resolution #33-72,
covering wages, sick leave and holiday time off fo~ city emp!oyeest is estab-
Hshed annuaUy. It was suggested that the iibi-ary's service to its patrons
be considered by a possible .amendment 1(:1) Resolution #33-72. The 1 ibrarian ""as
instructed to prepare a scheduie of holiday oper;ings of the library on an annual
basis for the boards to study.
