The display case as installed in the new building is too shallow (111t)

without a definite date. Mr. DeBack will discuss this possi~ity with the Mayor.

Library Board Minutes - July 12, 1972 Page 2
Dedicatton of the City Hall-Library was discussedo No information
about the date or plans has been received.. Mr.. DeBack will try to
get this information back to the board.
.
Mrso Lelchtfuss reported Qn her discussion with Mrs; Pelzmann about
an evaluation of the library's holdings. The board has two choices,
either to have Mrs.. Pelzrnann, who is willing, make the evaluation
based on guidelines for our community and the needs of our small
library or to hire a consultant from the State Division of Library
Services, which may maan a long wait.. Mrs. Pelzmann estimates that
it would take 15 hours to check on holdings with an additional 5
hoars to evaluate.. using a clertcal staff to help. Mrs. Leichtfuss
recommends hiring Mrs. Pelzmann for the job since she knows the com-
munity and library and works well Hlth the librarian and staff. Mrs.
Leichtfuss moved to engage Mrs. Pelzmanu:s services, as a consultant,
to evaluate the library's holdings, services to be paid fro~ the con-
tingency fund set up for this -purpose, Mr. DeBack seconded and the
motion carrledo
.
. Mrs" Lindhorst informed the board that plans for refinishing the
gym floor in Muskego Elementary school in mid-Augus~ may make it
necessary to find new storage space for library furnltureo She
also had the information requested by the board about the number
.of families presently using the library. There are 1.498 families,
J,082 individuals, registered as library card holders. Some fam-
ilies use one card for all and other families use individual cards.
Mrs. Teisl re"Oorted on the County Library Systems Committee meeting
held on July;, 19720 A resolution had been passed by the County
Board increasing the slze of the original oommittee from 11 members
to 15 to allow communities not represented an opportunity to send a

study which will be interpreted by Miss lone Nelson. The next meet-
ing has been tentatively set for August 16. 1972, 8:00 PoM., in the

Mr.. DeBack had several questions on capital budget items on which
he wanted clarification. The copier (1973) was explained as coin operated for the public's use in co~ying book pages. newspaper and
magazine articles, etcc and to save the staff's time in operating the machine as 1s presently done. The 16MM projector and soreen (1974) recommended by Mrs. Pe1zmann for use by community organiza- tions for fr'ee film programs for instruction, educatiQn and enter- tainment.
