ABSENT: Members Dibb and NarlocK.
After excusing the librarian from the meet1ng~ Mrs. IÆnz informed
the board of the meetin.g between the liaison commi ttes and the fin-
ance committee in regard to job reclassification and wage scales for
library personnel.
Mrso Lenz opened the meeting at 7:15 P.M.
New member. Mrs.. Charmian Buhrandt, was welcomed and introduced to
the board members. Mrs.. Lenz gave bel'" the library boardts or1en-
tatlon materials.
Mrs.. Ï"I1mler moved .that it be resolved to reclassify library pe!l~Ono"
nel as follows: Librarian to City Librarian; Secretary to Asslst~(U1t;
Librar1an; Clerk to Library Assistant; Cataloger to LibrAry Tech-
n1o~an; Pages to remain the same, Mrs. Leichtfuss seconded and m9~
tlon oarried,.
~r '. r.~reu$er moved that a letter, ?-ddressed to., the Mayor1 be sent
to ßtrongly urge the city to take steps to establish job 01ass1f1..
cations withapproprlate wage scales for all city employees as it
1s not a function of this policy making board to set wages. Mrs.
Mlmler seconded and motion carried.
The mln~tes of the Januar1 12, 1972 meeting were corrected to road;
on Ml"S. Dibb;s motion to a.nprove bills in the amount"...."".. nMrs.
Lelchtfuss seconded and motion carrled~" Mrs. Lelchtfuss moved
approval of the January 12" 1972 minutes as corf'ected~ Mrs. T'eisl

Mrs~ Lenz informed the board that she had been given akéy to the
book closet at Denoon School and one will be available at the lib-
rary..
fIh:i,a~.M1mler relayed the i.nformation given her by the architeot
$b9ãt the display case., They are planning to provide a case 8.t
lq'Jlg. /"4.' high" TtJlth a depth of 141:t,surrounded by 4x4 tack boards.
~he~oard recommended that a plaque be purchased and suItably 1n-
sc~+þ'~d to note that the ship colleotion was donated by Mr. Hauk~

Mrs. Lindhorst reported speaking to city officials about an outside
sign for the new city hall-library bulldlng.. They have no deflnlte
plans as yet for purchase of a sign but suggested that community
organizations may be interested~
Mrs. Lindhorst also reported that Mrs. Edna Sma~t is arranging to
have tapes of Muskego's history transcribed into notebook form.
The Muskego Country-Side theater grouþ is organizing to start re- oording Muskego's history on video-tape and when it 1s completed
it will be g1van to the libra.ry.. Mrs.. Lindhorst announoed that
anyone interested in this project is also invited to attend the
Aprl1 13, 1972 Wisconsin Llò:"arlans Association tele-radio meet1ng",
After sending specs for bids on shelving and furniture needed for
the new library" Mrs.. Lindhorst reDor-tad recel"1ng only one reDly
and that trom the Library Bureau of Remington-Rand. The bid was
opened and prices checked. The board was informed that it takes
between 90 and 120 days after order date to receive shelving.
Mr. Krauser moved to place an order for units number. 6 and 7 with
Library Bureau of HeT1ngton-Rand because they C8n match equipment
we a.lready have and tna.t My's.. L1D.dhorst confer with the sa,lesman
to assure a proportionate disoount as quoted in the bld. Mr8~
Lelehtfuss seöonded and motion carried. Mrs. Lindhorst will get
1n touch with the other oompanies to ask for their bids on the
other items.
. After another lengthy discussion about salaries for library person....
nel, Mr. Keruser moved that the board recommend monthly salaries.
