The board offered their con~ratulations to Mrs. Sobolewsk1 on the
occasion of her 31st.. birthday..
Mrs. 'retsl moved to anprove the ?ebruary 10, 1971 minutes t Mrs.
Sobolewsk1 seconded Dnd motion carried.

Mrs. Lenz read a cOlflmunlcation from !.layor Gottfried informing the
board that the flnancecommittee had agreed to adjust the work day to
make 1t possible for library fulltlme employees to work a 40 hour week..
The secretary was instructed tJ write the Mayor thankins him for his
prolIipt ac tlon on the library's behalf' A
Mrs. Llndhorst reported receiving another application for the position
of librarian. She was adv1sed to reply and plaoe the application on
file until such time as needed.
Mrs. Modlinski moved to a~nrove bills in the am~unt of f;2,17043B. Mr.
Kreuser seconded and motion carried.
Mrs. Lenz announced that the Friends of the Muskego Library had re-
oelved 143 reservations for the March 17 luncheon. ~ayor Gottfried
will be the guest speaker for the luncth~on" R~spo:)nse to .the essay
contest by -oublic school cYJ11dren was disapnointlnp.:: but St. Leonard's
res'Oonse was good. The c'mtest closed today~
Mr. Narlock 'Oresénted a renort ~n the ~uniclDal building 'Olans. Archi-
. tectùral drawings of the civic -center sltè with future building place-
ments and the floor plan of the one-story city hall-library building
were displayed. The 42'x64t bul1d1n~ has a brick front an1.rea~ and
cedar siding gldas. will cost auprox1mately t190.000 Including heating
and air conditioning. Pro~osed to be finanoed by a 20 yaar.gàneral (obligation bond, at a cost to the taxpayer of 28Ø oer thousand. Lib~
/) rar>y space allotted of 2,688 sq.ft.. with an alternate plan pr,,). posing
\~. 6 sq. ft. additional s'Oace for the library brIngIng total space to ap-
.proxlmately 3,100 sq. ft. Storage súace available,ln the 4~OOO sq.ft.
basement and rest rooms and meeting room to be used jointly by c1ty .

Mrs. Lindhorst inf~rmed the board that the reason for chipping off l~
óf the library threshold was to fit in another file and that she had
ohanged the library hours on the outside sign.
Mrs. Lindhorst ~as advised to keep a record of hours to illustrate
her problems with the work week and salaries, to the board.
Senate Bill Number 47 was disoussed and since there is no 1mmediate
action necessary, it was tabled for later attention.
Mr. Kreuser moved to adjourn, Mrs. Modlinskl seconded and motion
oarried. The meetlng adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
