to the February meeting.
The library mailer sent to residents explaj,:nlng the new hours
and informing them of some of the books and other materials

After making inquifles about handling encumbered accounts, Mr.
Kreuser advise.d the librarian to get nt-Imbered purchase orders
issued by the 01 ty and prepare purchase ordel"s 011 all 1 tems
ordered except telE;mhol1~, alee trlc and 1)OS tage. These purchase
orders are to be filed wi .th the c1 ty as accounts 'Oayable. :if or-
ders are not filled within that year~ and then they can be car-
ried forward as encumb$red accounts with funds available from
the previous yearts budget4
Board members !'lere invited to attend the Capitol Budget Committee
meeting on Monday, January 18, 1971 to suppor.t a request for a
minimum of ),000 sq.. ft.., of the proposed city hall, library, and
garage building, for the library. If' unable to f:lttend they were
reques'ted to phoDe or 1?lrl te commi t;tee member's explaining the 11 b-
