BAY LANE SCHOOL LIBRARY
NOVEMBER 11, 1970
PRESENT: Mmes. Dlbb, Lenz, Leichtfuss, Mlmier, Mod1lnski, Sobolewski,
Teisl and Mr. Kreuser. Mrs. Lindhorst was also present.

Mrs. Lenz opened the meeting at 7:55 p.m.
The October 13, 1970 minutes were correoted to read, page 1 paragraph
10, -The Cap1tol Budget Committee has proposed that the o1ty---------
and -They would expect to start bulldings in the Clvic Center ln S
years." Mrs. Dibb moved to accept~the October IJ, 1970 minutes as
corrected, Mrs. Leichtfuss seconded and motion carried.
The next meeting will be held on DECEMBER 9, 1970, 7:)0 P.M., at
BAY LANE SCHOOL LIBRARY.
Mrs. Modllnskl moved to approve bllls in the amount of $1,884.95,
Mrs. Leichtfuss seconded and motion carriedo
The next meeting of the Friends will be held in January. A letter
will be sent to members requesting renewal of membership and a
financial statment will be enclosed.
Mr. Kreuser moved adoption of the resolution as outlined in the Sep-
tember 16, 1970 minutes, page 2, in regard to access to library cir-
culation records, Mrs. Mlmier seconded and motion carried.
It was suggested that Mrs. Lindhorst write to Miss Nelson requesting
a copy of the missing building program revision.
No report available on police action on collection of overdue books.
Mrs. Lindhorst announoed that the meeting topiC will be on library
systems between colleges and professional libraries at Alverno Col-
lege, Wednesday, November 18, at noon. Anyone interested in attending
please call her. She reported t~t information on the costs of join-
ing a library s1stem are unavailable but she will continue to seek
more information on library systems. She also renorted attending the
W.LoA. meeting and the Waukesha Coúnty Librarian's Assn. meeti~go
A letter from Mr. Eberhart was received asking the library to submit
a planned "Bight to Bead" program and to apply for a grant. The lib-
rarian advised the board that at the preaent time there is no space
or $taff available for a project of this size. Mr. Kreuser will have
a sChool librarian examine the application and make recommendationso
Mrs. Lindhorst reported that the Finance Committee had reduced the
proposed salary increases in the 1971 library budget from 8~ to ?~
with the exceution of the page's salary.

Mrs. Lenz asked the board's SupDort in convincing the Capitol Budget
Committee that the library's portion of the nro~osed multi-municipal
building should not be cut in s1ze from the 4,000 sq. ft., first pro-
posed, to 2.500 sq. ft. It was suggested that a report be prepared
and presented to the oommittee by the board sometime before the refer-
endum date.
Mr. Kreuser moved to adjourn, Mrs. Mlmier seoonded and motion carr1ed.
The meet1ng adjourned at 9:20 p.m.
