Mrs. Lenz opened the meet1ng at 8:00 P.M.
Mrs. L1ndhorst corrected the JUly 9. 1970 m1nutes on the mot10n to
approve payment ot bills in the amount of $,1,906069 general fund and
$6.66 encumbered acoount for a to~l ot $1,91).29. Due to an error 1n
tabulation it should have been $1.91).69 general fund. 16.66 encumbered
tor a total of $1.919.95. Mrs. Te1øl moved a~proval of the July 9, 1910
m1nutes as oorrected, Mrs. Lelchtfuss seconded and mot1on carr1ed.
The next meet1ng will be held on WEDNESDAY. SEPTEMBER 9. 1910,
1145 PoM., BAY LANE SCHOOL LIBRARY.
Mrs. Modl1nskl moved approval of b11ls 1n the amount of $1,875.08.

Mrs. Lenz reported that the results of the Friend's survey showed that
the Muskego residents polled wanted a l1brary and that the city should
pro.lde for 1t tro~ tax m~ne1. She also reported that the ratfle t1cke'.
tor a drawing at the Muskego Country Fa1r, August 28-30, w11l be g1ven
to eaoh board member to sell. She 11sted some of the maln prIzes to be
trIOn as, the use of a oamper for a week. rod and reel, portable T.V. and
~aD7 smaller pr1zes. Proceeds fro~ the sale will be given to the I1b-
rar, building fund. Board members were instructed to call Mrs. Lenz
In two weeks t1me for the t1ckets.
Mrs. Lenz reported that Mr. Rosinsk1, after receivlng a letter from Mlse
lODe Nelson statlng that the Muskego Library ls inelig1ble for state a14
ual..s we arø aff1l1ated w1th a library system or ind10ate a w1l11ngnes8
to part1ctØQte In one. has suggested that a resolution be pre~red and
~re..nted to the Common Councll to the etfect that the oity would w1l-
l1D111 partic1pate 1n a library system when and 1f one 18 avaIlable.

Ir. Harlock reported that permission was granted to the library for use
ot tbe Muskego C1ty Newsletter, Mrs. L1ndhorst 1s to prepare the mater-

Nrs. Lindhorst reported that the salary for ~ playground storyteller
tor the summer of 1971 w11l be pald from the~Beoreatlon Department

In addit1on to the Pre11m1nary budget, as presented, a chan~e was nade
1n the column titled - Larger Quaters 1971, under account 001, capitol
outlay from $120 to $158025 to change from a two drawer to three drawer
hor1zontal file - changing the total to $14,288q25o
Mrs. Lindhorst requested a ohange 1n library hours and suggested that
the library be open from 1:00 p.mo to 5:00 porn. every afternoon except
Wednesday to relleve some of the overcrowd1ng during even1ng hours,
g1ve more uniformity to the open hours of the l1brary anq etill glve
her enough work time when the library is olosed. This would 1ncrease
open hours from the present 24 hours a week to )1 open hQurso Mrso
Lelohtfuss moved that next year the library be open from 1:00 pomo ~
5100 p.mo every afternoon except Wednesday and to give the librarian the authority to provide for any additional ,help necessary 1n the
1910-1971 budget, Mrs. Mod11nsk1 seçonded and motion carr1edq
