BAY LANE PUBLIC SCHOOL

PRESENT: Mmes. Dibb. Leichtfuss. Modl1nskl and Teisl. Messrs.
Kreuser and O'Connell. Mrs. L1ndhorst, librarian, was
also present.
ABSENT: Mmes. Bostater, Lenz and Rimier.
The meeting convened at 7150 P.M. with Mrs. Leichtfuss serving as
aotlng ohairman.
Mrs. Dlbb moved to approve the November 12, 1969 minutes, Mrs.
Modllnskl seoonded. Minutes were corrected as follows, paragraph
6. "tor lack of data...." to read, "The notarized form was returne~
to the Attorney General." Motlon carried.
The next meeting will be held on WEDNESDAY. JANUARY 14, 1970,
7145 P.M.. at BAY LANE SCHOOL.
Communication from the Muskego Norway Education Association dated
October 24, 1969 was read. They informed us that a sum of $319.12
has been ear-marked for a speolal library ltem at the new Clvlc
Center, they requested suggest1ons as to lts use. Mr. Kreuser sug-
gested that Mrs. Lelchtfuss appolnt one board me~ber to work wlth
Mrs. Llndhorst on possible suggestions to submit to the M.N.E.A.
for thelr approval. Mrs. Dibb volunteered to serve. The secretary
was lnstructed to acknowledge receipt of the letter and apprec1at1on
for the glft.
A letter from Clty Attorney John Buckley, stating his opinlon in
regard to the board's policy question on regulating member's atte~~-
ance, was read and discussed. It has been referred to the pollcy
committee for their use in establishing suitable polioy.
Mrs. Modlinskl moved approval of payment of bills in the amount of
'3.092.86. Mrs. Dlbb seoonded and motion carried. Mrs. Llndhorst
was instructed to confer with Mrs. Bowyer as to the dis~osition of
a problem arising from books ordered but not rea~lved in 1969. al-
though 9ayment is provided in the 1969 budget Acct. 580-0451.
Friends of the Library report was not available due to the absence
of Mrs. Lenz.
.Book selection policy wlll be available for a first reading at the
January board meeting.
Mrs. Lindhorst reported recelving Miss Nelson's corrections and
additions to the building committee.s report. Building committee
members will review the report and the final draft ..111 be availa1:'le
in the near future. Mrs. Leichtfuss and Mrs. Lindhorst reported C~
the building committee meeting with Mrs. Pelzmaun and the architects.

were given and the arch1teots will work out a plan for presentat1on at the next meeting of the committee.
Mrs. Telal moved that Mrs. Lindhorst purohase a poinsettia plant for the library and to purchase an appropriate "growing" gift for Mrs. Pelzmann to show our appreoiation for her professional help during the past year. Seconded and motion carried.
It was suggested that Mrs. Le1chtfuss speak to Mrs. Pelzmann about the estimated t1me she can serve as a professional consul- tant for the Muskego Public Library with proper remuneration in 1970.
Mr. Kreuser moved for adjournment, seconded by Mrs. Modlinsk1. and motion carr1ed.
