Mrs. T,indhorst was also present. Mmes. Bostater, Dibb and Mr. Cooley. ABSENT: Mr.. Mimier moved aDprova1 of the r~ay 28, 1969 minutes, Mrs. Leic'1t- fuss seconded and motion carried. Mr. Kreuser moved to approve payment of bills in the amount of 1,407.82, Mrs. Lenz seconded and motion carried. Mrs. Mtmier moved to hold board meetings on the second Wednesday of the month to facilitate payment of bills, Mr. Kreuser seconded and motion carried. The next meeting will be held on WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 13, 1969, 7:00 p.m. at : the BAY LANE SCHOOL LIBBARY" Mrs. Lenz reported on her conversation with Mr. Cooley. He intends to resign from the City Council on July 15, we will have a new 1ibrRry board member as soon as Mr. Cooley's vacancy on the Council is filled. Mrs. Lenz reported that Mmes. Sobolewski, Novak, Honl, Smart, and Base- ler were present at the June 19, ~969, F.O.l~.L. organizational me~ting. It was decided to charge a one dollar membership fee and to hold another meeting in fall. Further business was deferred until they can me~t with the Mayor asking for representation from the City Council. At this time library board members, Mmes. Lenz, Leichtfuss, Mimier, Modlinski, ~eisl and Mrs. Lindhorst joined the F.(\..l.,T.L. by paying the required dues. Mrs. Tenz also announced that she, ~lfrs. Raseler and "rs. Sobolewski plan to tape an interview with Mr. and Mrs. Berger at the Methòdist Manor sometime next week. After attending the !,Tew Berlin Libra.ry ('\!>en p.ouse, '<Trs. Trenz and "1rs. Lindhorst reported on the willingness of Mrs. Sohneberg and/or a re- presentative of the Lion's Club to speak to us on their building program. Mrs. Lindhorst had several announcements to make: Records are being kept of books read by children enrolled in the Summer Reading program, which will be gi"en to their teachers when school resumes in fall. Miss Linda Zahn will fill in as needed for Mrs. Repath at the Tess Corners Suæmer Library. There has been a marked improvement in the library dis- turbance problem since Mrs. Lindhorst spoke to the Police. A letter was received informing us of the state of 11isconsin lawsuits pending against several publishing houses for their price fixing on public institution's book binding purchases. A request was made for records of any books purchased from these companies. An outline for a ~ibrary Building ?rogram statement was received from Miss Nelson, who advised us to prepare one for our library. Copies of the outline will be prepared and mailed to the Committee members. The ~ ~ -j '. Minutes - Muskego Public Library Board June 25, 1969 Building Committee will meet on July 9, 1969, 7:00 p.m., at the Bay Lane School Library to work on the statement and will invite Mrs. Pelzman and a representative from the Architectural firm of Gazinski. Schulze and Zem~novic. Mrs. Mimier volunteered to call the firm for a list of Library Consultants. Page 2 'rhe board has requested that Hrs. Lindhorst continue in her present position as librarian for the ~uskego Public Library. Mrs. Lindhorst has agreed to continue in her present position. Mrs. Mimier moved to extend the magazine subscriptions from a one year to a one and a fourth year period to avoid the problem of not receiving consecutive issues, ~rs. ~elsl seconded and motion cArried. ~rs. ~odlinsk1 moved to adjourn, Mrs. reichtfuss seconded and motion carried.
