PRESENT: Mmes. Bostater, Dibb, Lenz, Lelchtfuss, Mlmier, Mod-
l1nski, Teisl and Mr. Kreuser. Mrs. Lindhorst was
also pre~ent.
Mr. Cooley ABSENT:
Mrs. M1mier moved approval of the January 23 minutes, Mrs. Mod-
linsk1 seconded and motion carr1edo
Mrs. Modllnskl moved approval on payment of invoices in the
amount of $2,199.11, Mrs. Dibb seconded and motion carried.
The next library board meeting will be held on MARCH 26, 1969,
Muskego Public Libr~ry - 4:00 p~~~ It was decided to meet on
the 4th Wednesday of the month to facilitate approval on pay-
ment of bills by the Common Council.
Mrs. Mlmier moved approval of the Annual Report, so it may be
presented to the Common Council, seconded by Mrs. Teisl and
motion carriedo
Mrs. L1ndhorst reported that she hasn't been able to find any
record of our past membership in the Trustee's Association or
the W.L.A., she will check further and re~ort back.
The secretary re~d the communication from the City Clerk in
regard to the library board's request for an outline of the
Municipal Employee's vacation schedule. The resolution on
same has not been adopted for 1969, as soon as it is adopted
they will forward a copy.
A report was given QY the Library planning committee on their
February 18th meeting. A building program outline was set up
with specific points to consider in planning a library building,
copies were given to board members for study. Plans were made
for board members to tour various libraries in other communitieso
The first tour will be on Saturday, March 1, members will meet
at 12:30 p.m. and visit South Milwaukee and Union Grove lib-
raries. Mrs. Lindhorst will complete arrangements.
Mr. Kreuser moved that the library board, as a matter of prac-
tice, will not 1ssue receipts of estimated valuation on donated
materials; in the event the donor would insist on valuation
placement the board reserved the right to refuse the donation,
seconded by Mrs. Bostater, motion carried.

The malntenanc$ agreement offer from the 3M Co. on our copier,
$50 for 18 months, for adjustment and repair was considered too
expensive. The matter will be reconsidered when the 6 month
warranty has almost expired.
Mayor Wleselmann joined the meeting to inform us of the progress
of the Civic Center Committee's plans. They are presently inter-
viewing architects and will make their final decision on 'vednes-
day, February 26 at 7:00 p.m., board members were invited to
attend. The Mayor suggested, as our first step in library plan-
ning, to arrange a meeting with the S.E. Regional Planning Com-
mission's library representative to discuss the future of the
Muskego library. He answered members questions and stated that
the oommittee was definitely planning to include the library in
the Civic Center complex. The board may also make recommendations
on thw library building to the architect and city planner.
Mr. Kreuser moved for adjournment, Mrs. Modllnskl seconded and
motion carried.
