PRESENT: Mmeso Lenz. Leichtifuss, Mimler, Modlinski, Teisl
and Mr,. Kreuser. Mrs. Lindhorst was also present.

Due to the lack of a quorum, business was deterred until more

members were presento A general discussion on absenteeism was
held and several remedies wer~ suggestedo
Mrs. Himier moved to approve payment (,)f invoices in the amount
of $1,2.34.68, Mrs. Leichtfu8S HecondecL and motion oarr1edo
Mrs. Leichtfuss moved to wa1ve reading of the December m1nutes
and moved for approval of same, Mrs. Modlinsk1 seconded and
motion carried.
To insure better attendance and guarantee a quorum at meetings
t~ secretary was instructed to contact absent members for their
preferences as to date and time and to set the next meeting date
according to majority preferenoao
Commun1cations from W.L.A.. Wis, charl'ljer of FOWL and Miss Ione
Nelson were read.
Mrs. Lindhorst is to check on our menbersh1p In var10us library
associations and recommend on wh~t blSis, 1ndividual or group,
we should join the W.LoA.
Mrs. Lindhorst reported on infornat'on r-ece1ved from Mrs. coutur~
about framing materials for our plc,ure oollection. A price of
~2.S0 ea. was quoted for pebble fin'sh masking, which 1s not
reoommended for loaning purpose~) fl"ld a price of $4.67 for wood
frames which would be more deslr.\bLe. Mr. Kreuser moved to
authorize the librarian to utili~:e $2.5.00 from account .580-04.51

programs. Also disoussed the 'OoBsibility of holding small
committee meetings to go over materials available and at
some future date plan to meet with the City Planning Com-
mission. Nelson and Assoc.. for ideas on projected popu18t1~n
expansion, etc. whioh would influence any future building
plans.
Mrs.. Lenz reported on her talk with the Mayor about having
Library Board representation on the Civic Center Planning
Committeeo 'rhe Mayor will oontact her about their decision
in a few weeks..
Mr. Kreuser moved for adjournment, Mrs. Mimier seoonded and
motion carried.
