Present: Mmes., Dibb, Lelchtfuss, Lenz, Mimier, Modlinskl,
Teisl and Mr~ Kreuser. Mrs. Lindhorst was also
present 0
Absent: Mrso Bostater and Mrð cooley
Mrs. Leichtfuss moved approval of the Septe~ber 19 minutes,
Mrs. Modlinski seconded and motion carried.
Mrs. Modlinski moved to approve payment of invQices in the
amount of $1,302037, Mrso Lenz seconded and ~otion carriedo
The next library board meetLng will be held on November 21 ~
4:30 porn. at MUSKEGO PUBLIC LIBRARYo
The donations to the library by the Women's Club and Mr~ Klumb,
a Lutheran seminary student, were duly noted. Mrs. Lindhorst
will consult with Mr. Klumb on his choice of Latin Poetry
translations.
Mrs. Teisl reported that she had not contacted Mr. Lloyd but
had received a reply from Mr. wolf in regard to orientation
naterials, he has misplaced them, no reply from the Mayor
as yet.
Mrs. Leichtfuss reported receiving another apulicatlon for
position as head librarian. The board decided not to accept
any more applications as there is no budget provision for
that position. Mrs. Lindhorst will acknowledge receipt o~
amy further applicatlonso
Mrs. Lindhorst reported fair results from letters sent to
long over-due book borrowers and appropriate rlnes were
lev1ed"
Mayor Welselmann has requested the library board to hold off
any plans for a fund-raising drive for at least two weeks.
He will have ~ore information for us at that timeo
A report on the Finance board's budget hearing was giveno
No questions were asked about our budget items. Board mem-
bers were asked to attend the Co~mon Council's meeting on
November 4, in the event that questions would arise thereo
Mr. Kreuser moved that a community bulletin board to be used
in the library would allow any community organization's
notices to be posted but not to allow any private individual's
notices to be posted, Mrs. Mlmler seconded and motion carried.

Mr. Kreuser moved to authorize Mrs. Lindhorst to renew
magazine subscriptions 90 days before expiration, as re-
quested by our agency, and to cancel out later if necessary,
Mrs. Mlmler seconded and ~otion carried.
Mrs. Lindhorst reported on the meeting with Miss Nelson and
Mr. Jambrek. They visited the library and discussed a sur-
vey questionnaire to be sent out by the S.W.R.P.C. She also
reported on a meeting she had attended where they used a state-
wide network of radio and teleuhone to discuss book talks and
the workings of a I1braryo Boârd members were lnvlt~~ to
attend the November 21 meeting in \o1aukesha from 10-12 aom'~..
Dr Schacht of Burlington will speak on "What's happening in
Library?". She also attended a workshop held by the E.C.Lodn
in Delafield and the oonvention in LaCrosse where author
Daniel Fader and George walters, Dean of Students at Lawrence
college, were guest speakers.
Mr. Kreuser moved for adjournment, Ml'S. fUmier seconded and
motion carried.
