Mrs. Lelchtfuss moved to approve payment of lnvoices in the
amount of$1.467089. Mrs. Bostater seconded and motion carried.
~o Klmler read a communication from the Mayor giving budget
jnear1ng dates and a request for a, rationale. to be submitted
to hlm on sept. 25 W1th the bUdget, e~plalnl~ budget 1tem in-
creases and ,the goals of the library. Mrs. Lindhorst was com-
plimented on her rough-draft of the budget rationale as reado
Mrs. Llndhorstreported that the fan for the library had been
purchased for $27.50 including the stand.
The secretary reported letters had been sent to Mayor Wieselmann
and Mr. Henry Wolf requesting return of orientation material
Issued to board me~bers, she was instruoted to oontaot Mr. Lloyd
also.
Mrs. Lindhorst reported prioe ranges for new oopy maohines. The
board deoided to inolude $400 in the new budget to provide tor
the purohase of a oOPY machine.
Mrs. Leiohtfuss reported the library had reoeived two applioations
for the position of Head l1brarian as a res~lt of our ad 1n the
ALA publloationo One applicant has since acoepted another
Position and Mrs. Lelohtfuss 1s now a\~itlng a reply to her
letter to Mrs. Bonnie Htnton of Ft. Atkinson.
Mrs. Lelchtfuss moved to approve the 1969 library expenditure
budget. Mrs. Tels1 seoonded and ~otlon oarriedo It will be
presented to the Finance Committee on;>~toh~from 9:00-
9115 p.m.. board members were requested to attend if possibleo
,It wIll be presented for approval to the Common Council on
November 4 and a public hearing will be held o~November 18.

The board decided to canoei our ad in the ALA publioation sinoe
Mrs. Lindhorst has oonsented to contInue as our aoting lib-
rarian.

Mrs. Mlm1er opened nominations for cha1rman of the board by
nominating Mrs. Lenz. firs. Mimler moved that the secretary
cast the unanimous ballot for the election of Mrs. Lenz for
chairman. Mrs. Modl1nski seconded and motion carried.
There being no further business, Mrs. Modllnski ~oved for
adjournment, Mrs. Teisl seconded and motion carried.
