A oity government cannot be forced to oomply but the state does re- commend a :ulnlfiiPI' of: 17 years and o1der--$loJO per hour; 17 :lears and younger - ~lo10 per houro Mrs. M1mler moved to aocept Mrso Llndhorstts reoommendat1on to h1re Pa~ Martin and JoAnn Woracheck as new pages, Mrso Teisl ~econdeð and mo1;lon oarrledo ^ I ' \ The seoond reading of the proposed amendment to the by-laws, IV$ E1~ction of Officers Bo-----Vo Duties of Officers, Do--(please refer t9 July minutes) was given by Mrs.. Mimlero Mrs. Mimler moved to idopt the amendment as read, Mrso Mod11nski seconded and motion carried. A copy of the new ar'f}endment is attached to these m1nutes, mernbers please attach to your copy of the Library Policieso The problem of over-due books and their recovery was disoussed with Mrs. Lindhorst.. The board has decided to adopt the following pro- ceedure on $ trial basis: to ~ail :3 over-due book notices, place one telephone call, if there is no response the next step is to bil! the bo~rower for thA cost of book replacement and allow another week for a return. Total time of procedure to be two monthsø Mrs. Mimler moved to authorize the uurchase of a fan for the li~~ary. payment to come from Office supplies AcotÐ580-046, Mrs. Dlbb seconded and ~otion carrledo ' Mrs. bibb was welcomed to the meeting and introduced to board members. The seoretary was 1nstructed to send letters to former board m~~bers re~uesting a return of orientation materials, so they may be made available to new board members.. Mr.. Mimier moved to approve payment of invoices in the &mount cf $2,834.48, Mrs.. Modlinski seoonded and motion carriedo The next board lueetlng will be held on SEPTEMBER 19. 1968, 7:30rolf;. a~ the MUSKEGO CITY HALL. The nominating committee presented their slate of off1c~rs: v. C~lr- man, Mrs. Olga Mlmier, Treas.. Mrs. Elaine Modlinski and Sec., Y~s. Betty Teisl.
