The flrst reading of a proposed amendment to the by-laws, reocm-
mended by the pollcy commlttee, was read by Mrs. Mlm1erz

V~ Duties of Offlcers D. The treasurer shall meet with the head

a useful tool for providing more popular flction at a lower cost.

OUr record collection contlnues to show the largest growth 1n
circulation.
Our stor1 hour sessions 1n the sprlng were very well attended.
We varied from the usual 6 weeks program by hold1ng 2 monthly sessions.
one 1n the morn1ng and oDe 1n the afternoon during the months ot A])rll
and PIal. The summer stor)' hours seem to be less successful. Vaoat.lon
plans seem to intertere a great deal here though several ot the SWlmer
da1s have been quite well attendedo
The Tess Corners School Library has beeD operated agaln this :"ear.
Initial reports lndicate 1ts cont1nuing success. ~
It was dec1ded that the Muskego Woman's Club would be the nuc:',eus
of a Pr1ends of Muskego Public Llbraryo
II1fta th1s year ln additlon to numerous used books include a
$200 g1ft h-om the MUSkego WOman's Club wh1ch was used to purchase
large type books for the part1ally sighted and a gift trom RCA of
!,O popular records.
