All members of board were present.
Mrs. "lmler moved approval of the mlnutes of the Aprll meetlng,
seconded by Mrs. Modllnskl. motion carrled..
The next meeting will be held on THURSDAY, JUNE 20, 1968 - 1:30 p.m.
at MUSKEGO CITY HALL.
Perm1ss1on has been granted to use the Tess Corners school 11bra~7
and Mrs. Repath w111 act as 11brar1an for the summer library pro~
gram. The 11brary w111 open June 19 through August 14 wlth hour'"
from 1 - 4 p.m. for nlne Wednesdays.
The second readlng of the polley commlttee's recomménded polley was
given. Mrs.. M1mier moved to adopt the polley as far as read. s8,"\onded
by Mrs. Teisl, motion carr1ed.
Mrs. Bostater reported that she is announc1ng our acceptance of the
Women's Club offer, to undertake development of the 11brary as th~1r
project, at their execut1ve board meetlng on Monday.
Mrs. Bostater and Mrs. Staton reported on the Southeastern Llbra~7
Conference at Lake Geneva wh1ch they had attended on May 10. Th<!\y
agreed that the trend is towards 'centralization at Madlson with oon-
tact malntalned wlth small l1braries by teletype and telephone.. Mrs..
Bostater reported thatthe members at the conference had moved to
adopt the action program for the development of a public library
system for Wlscons1n. Board members raised questions as to just how
th1s plan would affect Muskegots library. Mrs. staton reoommendqd
that members study the reports and also suggested lnvltlng Mrs. Pelz-
mana to a future meeting to discuss the actlon program.
Mrs. Lenz moved payment of the lnvoloes in the amount of $2,120.02,
Mrs. Modllnski seconded, motion carrled.
Mrs. Leichttuss reviewed the steps already taken towards h1r1ng an
head l1brarlan. Discuss10n followed as to the advisabll1ty of ~lt1ng
for -leftover- app11cants from the New Ber11n and cudahy l1braries and
or 1ncreaslng our advert1sing. Mrs. Leichtfuss wanted the question,

Mrs. staton subu1tted sketches ~or a possible 11brary float ~or the
Memorial Day parade. It was dec1ded not to have a ~loat due to lack
o~ t1me.
