Olga Mimier moved that the minutes o:r our last meeting be approved, this was seconded by- Mr. Kreuser. Bills in the amoWlt of 1816.10 were reviewed by a.11 members and a motion for payment was made by Mr. Kapelka, seoonded by Mrs. Mimiet'. The public libra.ry will be closed on December 24th and 25th and on Dec. 3!11ü .. January 1st. Irwiew of the Holidays, the next Board meeting will be on :December 23rd at 11:00 A.M. in the library. r Mrs. Pelzmann reminded the Board that it is time to consider the librar,y budget as it has to be presented to the Town Board in Februa.ry. She recommended an increase dlle to the fact that books have beeome more expensive, circulatitJn has been greater and student use hAs in.creased. Tuesday nlgnts and Saturday afternnonsare very busy library hour a a.n.d Mrs. Pelzmann felt that another person working at these times would be advantageous. Members should be considenng tMs budget and discussion will take place a.t the January meetlllg. Mrs. Palzmann mentioned that the Monday afternoon hours are not posted on the Town Ha.l.l sign - this should bereotified if these hol1S are to re~. It was thought. nowever, that :maybe Friday night hours woll1d be better; thJ..s, of course, would present a staff problem. Mrs. Pelzmann reported on the l~brarians meeting at Oconomowoc. She gave a review of .theBrookfield and Klm Grove contracts with Milwaukee County libr.a.r.r. Brookfield's total 1962 budget Wi1LS tbo,ooo, about $4 per capita. Elm Grove spends about 17 per capita. As of now there is no wa:y at à.l of obtaining films or records for the peÐple in our area. :Mrs. Leichtfuss suggested that we consider What func"tioQ people in the communi ty could take as a "F:riends of the Librarytt g:rollp. Mr. Kreuser suggested that we have a specific statement regarding the types of books to be selected for :Mr5. Haacke 15 Memorial shelf in our minutes. Members of the Board will give this some thought and have suggestions reaQf for the December meeting. At 8:50 Mr. Kreuser moved that the meeting be adjollrned, this was seconded by Iir. Kapelka.
