Excerpt of minutes entered by "the School Board of. the Muskego Norway Consolidated S~hools on March 20, 1961 ..- PMENT ~ Mr. Jerome Gottfried discussed a problem fsced by th.e Town Board u. s problem which the scbool board might sbare 1n solving. The problema The Muskego Town Library, now in the Muskego Elementa%'y School has grown to such an extent that the public library is crowding the $chool library and using space that ehould be used by the school. Consequently, it is necessary for the Public Ubrary to be housed elsewhere for the coming year. The thought is to house this library 1n the Town Hall. However, in so doing there are a number of civic organizations in the Town that will be dispossessed insofar as there will be no meeting place for them, with the Town Hall fully Us.ed. "It was Mr. Gottfried's hope that the School Board might find itself i1\ a position to offer the use of a school or schools for these meetings.. It was not his intention to suggest that the Board consider throwing the schools open to anyone, but rather that the school board might be in Ii position to provide a meeting place for those civic organizations now meeting in the Town Hall, for Wlhich the Town Board feel. an oblige.., tion, . "Tbe matter was d1s@ussed and the Board concurred that the facilities of . school or schools @OUld be used &s a meeting place for the ciYtc, non- profit organizations now meeting in the Town Hall. A policy regarding the schools, possible charges and other regulations will be formulated and a copy forwarded to Mr. Gottfried. "Mrs. Haacke was :requested to get a list of the o1'ganiutions now using the Town Hall, from Mrs. Williems, Town Clerk."
