Mrra. Haacke read the :eport she gave to the Town Board of this groups 'e activities
since inception.
Bi1J.s in the amount of approx. $.4Da weresul:mitted for verification and payment. It
looks as if there should be a balance of about $75 at the end of this, 'business year,;
:iJBmediately after the annual Town meeting. Remaining comittment.at are mainly those
of the:' McNaughton JiIøok contract, salaries of librarian and clerical. help and car-
tain materials and supplies already ordered but not recei vad.
Work on the request for budget allotment 8r the 1961-62' year was preticated on the
assqptjjon that the public library will need its own quarters very soon; it is very
obvious that our operation is orowdillg out the school Jibrary. Where such quarters
can be found is difficult to envision now.,
Very tentatively, these figures were noted:
rent 1200
heat 360 i
light 100 i.

The big question, then, is whether the TO\ID Bciarð. will be feceptive to such a request.
Many aetpl prices are still being checked, and further refinement of this budget
will follow at the next meeting, which will be called by Mrs. II8.a.cke as a special
gathering whenever we should havel mmoe' data to work on. Next regular meeting on
