Re. Assessment Maintenance & Revaluation Agreement/2005
Dear Laura:
I am in receipt of the proposed Agreement in the above matter. I have reviewed the
contract, itself, as to form, but not the technical schedules attached. I will not review the
schedules unless you ask me to do so. I have the following specific comments:
1. Under No. 4, the Agreement said it runs from September 1, 2005 to September
1, 2008. Shouldn't this be amended to a date after the contract is signed?

2. No. 5 as to Compensation appears to have four different fixed amounts over
different time periods. I presume you have reviewed this with the Aldermen or

will be doing so soon. Please also note that the hourly rates set forth in this
paragraph of the contract for extra work will probably be changing during the
contract period.
3. No. 8 appears to use the same indemnification and insurance language that we
accepted in the Interior Inspection Contract which the Council just approved.
4. No. 19 includes a termination right by the City with 10 days notice to the
company.
