FINANCE COMMITTEE MINUTES

Mayor Slocomb called the meeting to order at 7:07 PM. In attendance were Committee Members Ald.
Madden, Ald. Salentine and Ald. Schroeder, and Finance Director Dawn Gunderson and those per attached
sheet.
Those present recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
The meeting was posted in accordance with the Open Meeting Law on July 30, 2004.
REVIEW OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The minutes of the July 27, 2004 Finance Committee Meeting were reviewed. Ald. Salentine moved to
approve the minutes. Seconded by Ald. Madden. Motion carried 3-0.
LICENSE APPROVALS
Ald. Salentine moved to recommend approval of Operator’s License for Jill Henneberry and Alexis
Liapis subject to receipt of fees, favorable police reports, and verification of schooling. Seconded by
Ald. Madden. Motion carried 3-0.
PERIODIC LICENSE REVIEW
Mr. Edward Albrecht, agent for Kwik Trip, Inc. appeared before committee to discuss the sale of an alcoholic
beverage to an underage person on June 17, 2004. The committee interviewed Mr. Albrecht and discussed
the seriousness of the violation and that a reoccurrence could result in the loss of the license.

PERIODIC LICENSE REVIEW--None
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Approve SBC Centrex Contract (deferred 5/5/04, 5/19/04, 5/25/04, 6/2/04, 7/21/04)–Ald. Madden moved
to defer. Seconded by Ald. Salentine. Ald. Madden informed the committee that they did speak with SBC
and they have agreed to extend the contract until a final conclusion is reached. Motion carried 3-0.
Approve SBC Complete Link Contract (deferred 5/5/04, 5/19/04, 5/25/04, 6/2/04, 7/21/04) – Ald. Madden
moved to defer. Seconded by Ald. Salentine. Motion carried 3-0.
MAINTENANCE AGREEMENTS--None
RELEASE OF FUNDS--None
REDUCTION IN LETTER OF CREDIT--None
VOUCHER APPROVAL--None
FINANCE DIRECTOR’S REPORT – Finance Director Gunderson distributed her Finance Director Report
(see attached) for the Finance Committee to read.
COMMUNICATIONS AND ANY OTHER BUSINESS AS AUTHORIZED BY LAW – None
ADJOURNMENT – Being no further business to discuss, Ald. Madden moved to adjourn the meeting
at 7:27 PM. Seconded by Ald. Salentine. Motion carried 3-0.
