FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO Approved
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD TUESDAY, JULY 13, 2004
The meeting was called to order at 6:48 PM by Mayor Slocomb with Committee
Members Salentine and Madden present along with Aldermen Borgman and Melcher,
Clerk-Treasurer Moyer, Deputy Clerk Blenski and those per the attached list.
Committee Member Schroeder was excused. Clerk-Treasurer Moyer began
administration of the test for operators prior to the meeting being called to order.
Those present recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
Mayor Slocomb stated the meeting was noticed in accordance with the open meeting
law.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Ald. Salentine moved to approve minutes of the meeting held June 22, 2004.
Seconded by Ald. Madden; motion carried.
LICENSE APPROVAL
Operators
Ald. Salentine moved to recommend approval of an Operator’s License for Sandra
Keller, Heather Kiefer, Lisa Maciosek, and Barbara Picklesimer. Ald. Madden
seconded; motion carried. Ald. Salentine requested that the testing process for
operators be discussed. Mayor Slocomb stated it would be done at the Council
meeting under license approval.
Temporary Class “B” Retailer’s License - Muskego Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies
Auxiliary
Ald. Salentine moved to recommend approval of a Temporary Class “B” license to sell
fermented malt beverages to be issued to the Muskego Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies
Auxiliary for July 30, 2004. The license is for a fundraising event held at the Regency
to benefit the fire departments. Ald. Madden seconded; motion carried.
Temporary Class “B”/“Class B” Retailer’s License - Muskego Community
Festival, Inc.
Ald. Salentine moved to recommend approval of a Temporary Class “B” license to sell
fermented malt beverages and a Temporary “Class B” license to sell wine for the
Muskego Community Festival for August 27, 28 and 29, 2004. Ald. Madden seconded;
motion carried.
Temporary Operator’s License for Robert Bankenbusch - 8/27/2004 - 8/29/2004
Ald. Madden moved to recommend approval of a Temporary Operator’s License for
Robert Bankenbusch for the Muskego Community Festival for August 27, 28 and 29,
2004. Ald. Salentine seconded; motion carried.
Waterway Markers
Ald. Salentine moved to recommend approval of renewal of Waterway Markers for Bay
Breeze and Muskego Shores Community Association. Ald. Madden seconded; motion
carried.

PERIODIC LICENSE REVIEW
Joshua R. Stewart – Operator’s License (3-Month Review)
A check with the Wisconsin Crime Information Bureau and the City of Muskego Police
Department records revealed no new record of arrest since the last review on March 1,
2004.
Dog Fancier Permit - Donald Brzezinski, S78 W18232 Lions Park Drive
As a condition of approving the permit, the Committee requested a review of the
property be done in July. The Committee acknowledged receipt of information
submitted by the Engineering and Building Inspection Department and Police
Department. The information did not reveal any violations that would affect the permit.
NEW BUSINESS
Request of Refund for Operator’s License
Clerk-Treasurer Janice Moyer forwarded a request submitted by Mr. J. Michael Hein for
a refund of $50 for an Operator’s License. A provisional license was issued to Mr. Hein
but the regular license was not. It was noted that the City did the background check for
the applicant and has incurred the $10 charge. Ald. Salentine moved to refund $40 to
Mr. Hein. Ald. Madden seconded; motion carried.
MAINTENANCE AGREEMENTS
Ald. Salentine moved to approve Gasboy Support Agreement in the amount of $150 per
year as requested by the Public Works Department. Ald. Madden seconded; motion
carried.
VOUCHER APPROVAL
Ald. Madden moved for approval of payment of General Vouchers in the amount of
$947,459.30 and Utility Vouchers in the amount of $48,462.42. Ald. Salentine
seconded; motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT
Ald. Madden moved to adjourn at 7:03 PM. Ald. Salentine seconded; motion carried.
