FM20031028 FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO Approved MINUTES OF MEETING HELD TUESDAY, OCTOBER 28, 2003 The meeting was called to order at 7:12 pm by Mayor Slocomb with Committee Members Petfalski, Salentine and Schroeder present. Also present were Ald. Buckmaster, Damaske, Madden, Patterson, Clerk-Treasurer Marenda and Deputy Clerk Blenski. Those present recited the Pledge of Allegiance. Mayor Slocomb noted the meeting was properly noticed in accordance with the open meeting law. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Ald. Petfalski moved to approve minutes of the meeting held October 22, 2003. Ald. Salentine seconded; motion carried. REDUCTION IN LETTERS OF CREDIT Approve Reduction in Letter of Credit for Nature Estates, $76,254.90 Memorandum was received from Engineering/Building Inspection Director Sean McMullen recommending reduction in Letter of Credit. The reduction represents work successfully completed. Ald. Salentine moved to approve reduction in Letter of Credit for Nature Estates in the amount of $76,254.90. Seconded by Ald. Petfalski; motion carried. Approve Reduction in Letter of Credit for Chamberlain Hills, $137,492.56 Memorandum was received from Engineering/Building Inspection Director Sean McMullen recommending reduction in Letter of Credit. The reduction represents work successfully completed. Ald. Salentine moved to approve reduction in Letter of Credit for Chamberlain Hills in the amount of $137,492.56. Seconded by Ald. Petfalski; motion carried. Approve reduction in Letter of Credit for Candlewood Village, $338,336.17 Memorandum was received from Engineering/Building Inspection Director Sean McMullen recommending reduction in Letter of Credit. The reduction represents work successfully completed. Ald. Schroeder moved to approve reduction in Letter of Credit for Candlewood Village in the amount of $338,336.17. Seconded by Ald. Salentine; motion carried with Ald. Petfalski abstaining. Approve reduction in Letter of Credit for Candlewood Creek, $327,000.00 Memorandum was received from Engineering/Building Inspection Director Sean McMullen recommending reduction in Letter of Credit. The reduction represents work successfully completed. Ald. Schroeder moved to approve reduction in Letter of Credit for Candlewood Creek in the amount of $327,000.00. Seconded by Ald. Salentine; motion carried with Ald. Petfalski abstaining. Approve reduction in Letter of Credit for Quietwood East, $64,636.11 Memorandum was received from Engineering/Building Inspection Director Sean McMullen recommending reduction in Letter of Credit. The reduction represents work successfully completed. Ald. Schroeder moved to approve reduction in Letter of Finance Committee Minutes Page 2 October 28, 2003 Credit for Candlewood Creek in the amount of $64,636.11. Seconded by Ald. Salentine; motion carried. VOUCHER APPROVAL Ald. Salentine moved to recommend approval of payment of General Vouchers in the amount of $688,329.05 and Utility Vouchers in the amount of $396,833.23. Ald. Petfalski seconded; motion carried. COMMUNICATION AND ANY OTHER BUSINESS AS AUTHORIZED BY LAW The Committee reviewed the December Finance Committee dates. Ald. Salentine moved to cancel the Tuesday, December 23, 2003 meeting in conjunction with the cancellation of the Council meeting. Ald. Petfalski seconded; motion carried. The December 17, 2003 meeting will remain scheduled at this time. Clerk-Treasurer Marenda requested the Committee permit (Operator License) applicants to be interviewed prior to completion of the Responsible Beverage Server Course because of end of the year time constraints.
