FM100802 FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO Approved MINUTES OF MEETING HELD TUESDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2002 The meeting was called to order at 7:05 PM by Mayor Slocomb with Committee Members Ald. Petfalski and Salentine present. Ald. Sanders was absent. Also present were Ald. Damaske, Le Doux, and Madden as well as Tom Zagar. Ald. Patterson arrived during the meeting. Those present recited the Pledge of Allegiance. The Mayor stated the meeting was noticed in accordance with the Open Meeting Law. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Ald. Salentine moved to approve the minutes of the meeting held October 2, 2002. Ald. Petfalski seconded; motion carried. NEW BUSINESS Review Application for 2003 Urban Forestry Grant Conservation Coordinator/City Forester Tom Zagar stated the City has received funding from this grant since 1999. It has a 50% cost-share basis, with the City’s portion being paid through staff hours and equipment. Funds received from the grant would be used for on-site tree pruning workshops and an invasive plant control workshop. Ald. Salentine moved to recommend approval. Ald. Petfalski seconded; motion carried. REDUCTION IN LETTER OF CREDIT Martin Estates and Riverview Court In response to an inquiry by Ald. Petfalski regarding Martin Estates, Mr. McMullen stated that funds ($6,000) were being retained to complete site grading work that was still needed. Ald. Petfalski moved to reduce Letter of Credit for Martin Estates in the amount of $218,400 and Letter of Credit for Riverview Court in the amount of $214,973 pursuant to recommendation of Engineering/Building Inspection Director Sean McMullen. Ald. Salentine seconded; motion carried. VOUCHER APPROVAL Ald. Salentine moved to recommend approval of payment of General Vouchers in the amount of $487,991.36 and Utility Vouchers in the amount of $421,753.80. Ald. Petfalski seconded; motion carried.
