MINUTES OF MEETING HELD TUESDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2001
The meeting was called to order at 7:10 PM by Mayor De Angelis with Committee
Members Slocomb, Salentine, and Sanders present. Also present were Ald. Le Doux,
and Petfalski, and Deputy Clerk Blenski. Ald. Patterson and Wichgers arrived during
the meeting.
The Mayor stated the meeting was noticed in accordance with the Open Meeting Law.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Ald. Slocomb moved to approve the December 5, 2001 minutes. Ald. Salentine
seconded; motion carried.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
1. Reconsideration of 2002 Capital Budget Request, Mower & Sweeper (Rec)
Ald. Salentine moved to reconsider action taken on December 5, 2001 regarding
Commercial Out Front Mower and Kubota 52” Sweeper. Ald. Slocomb seconded;
motion carried. Ald. Slocomb moved to approve ordering the following for a total of
$14,690:
2002 Commercial Out Front Mower $11,590 (with trade)
2002 Kubota 52” Sweeper 3,100
Total $14,690
Ald. Salentine seconded; motion carried.
2. Approve Revision of Hiring of Relatives Policy
Discussion took place regarding the proposed revisions to the policy. There were
some concerns about potential situations that the policy does not address. Ald.
Slocomb requested input from all Department Heads. Ald. Petfalski stated the policy
should address other situations and not just the one that initiated the proposed
revision. Ald. Slocomb moved to defer to the January 2, 2002 Finance Committee
meeting. Ald. Sanders seconded; motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Review Woods Road Wireless Letter of Credit (Telecorp.)
Ald. Salentine moved to approve. Ald. Slocomb seconded; motion carried.
2. Approval of Agreement with American Tree Experts, Inc.
Ald. Slocomb moved to approve. Ald. Salentine seconded; motion carried.
REDUCTION IN LETTERS OF CREDIT
Ald. Salentine moved to approve reduction in letter of credit for Sarah Estates in the
amount of $82,058. Ald. Sanders seconded; motion carried.

Ald. Salentine moved to approve reduction in letter of credit for Rosewood Estates in
the amount of $30,965. Ald. Sanders seconded; motion carried.
Ald. Slocomb moved to approve reduction in letter of credit for North Cape Farms in the
amount of $54,310. Ald. Sanders seconded; motion carried.
Ald. Salentine moved to approve reduction in letter of credit for Quietwood Creek in the
amount of $41,000. Ald. Slocomb seconded; motion carried.
Ald. Slocomb moved to approve reduction in letter of credit for Lakewood Meadows
Addition 2 in the amount of $57,303.80. Ald. Sanders seconded; motion carried.
Ald. Sanders moved to approve reimbursement for Quietwood Creek Sewer Oversizing
in the amount of $91,882.70. Ald. Salentine seconded; motion carried.
Ald. Salentine moved to approve reimbursement for Quietwood Creek Water
Oversizing in the amount of $12,380. Ald. Sanders seconded; motion carried.
VOUCHER APPROVAL
Ald. Salentine moved to recommend approval of payment of General Vouchers in the
amount of $491,964.51 and Utility Vouchers in the amount of $224,530.13. Ald.
Sanders seconded; motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT
Ald. Slocomb moved to adjourn at 7:35 PM. Ald. Sanders seconded; motion carried.
