MINUTES OF MEETING HELD TUESDAY, JANUARY 23, 2001
The meeting was called to order at 7:03 p.m. by Mayor De Angelis with Committee
Members Slocomb, Sanders and Salentine present. Also present were Ald. Chiaverotti
and Le Doux, Finance Director Gunderson, Dave Anderson of Ehlers and Associates,
and Deputy Clerk Blenski. Ald. Patterson and Wichgers arrived during the meeting.
The Mayor stated the meeting was noticed in accordance with the Open Meeting Law.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Ald. Salentine moved to approve the January 17, 2001 minutes. Ald. Sanders
seconded; motion carried.
LICENSE APPROVALS
Ald. Slocomb moved to recommend approval of Races on Ice Permit and Temporary
Class “B” Retailer’s License for the Muskego Icetronauts for event to be held on
February 11, 2001. Ald. Salentine seconded; motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Review Proposed 2001 Capital Borrowing
Mr. Dave Anderson submitted a schedule of the projects to be funded by the 2001
borrowing. The total debt issue is $2,250,000. Ms. Gunderson noted that the schedule
did not reflect the borrowing with Waukesha County for the trunked radio system or the
payment to the sewer utility. The bid proposals will be presented at the February 13,
2001 Council. Ald. Slocomb moved to recommend authorizing Ehlers and Associates,
Inc. to solicit competitive proposals for $2,250,000 general obligation promissory notes.
Ald. Salentine; motion carried. Mr. Anderson was dismissed.
VOUCHER APPROVAL
Ald. Salentine moved to recommend approval of payment of General Vouchers in the
amount of $968,444.03, Tax Checks in the amount of $26,945.41 and Utility Vouchers
in the amount of $108,316.17. Ald. Sanders seconded; motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT
Ald. Sanders moved to adjourn at 7:20 p.m. Ald. Slocomb seconded; motion carried.
