FM111400 FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO Approved MINUTES OF MEETING HELD TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2000 The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor De Angelis with Committee Members Slocomb and Salentine present. Committee Member Sanders arrived at 7:10 p.m. Also present were Aldermen Chiaverotti and Wichgers (arrived at 7:14 p.m.), Engineering/Building Inspection Director McMullen, Finance Director Gunderson, Plan Director Turk, and Deputy Clerk Blenski. The Mayor stated the meeting was noticed in accordance with the Open Meeting Law. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Ald. Slocomb moved to approve the November 8, 2000 minutes. Ald. Salentine seconded; motion carried. LICENSE APPROVALS The Committee deferred action at the November 8 meeting regarding operator applications for Kristina Swenson, Robert Chvosta, and Michelle Peterson. The applicants were requested to return to the November 14 meeting. All three were in attendance and the Committee continued the interview process. Ald. Salentine moved to recommend approval. Ald. Slocomb seconded. He stressed the importance that the applicants fully understand the responsibilities associated with an operator’s license and participate in the “ID Under 30” program. Motion carried. There was no unfinished business. NEW BUSINESS 1. Consider Budget Transfer - HVAC Problem-Police Department Building Ald. Salentine moved to recommend approval of a transfer of $5,300 from Contingency to the Police Department Maintenance of Buildings and Grounds account. The money has been requested by Chief Johnson to hire Total Comfort to study the HVAC system at the Police Department and make the necessary modifications so the system will operate properly. Ald. Slocomb seconded; motion carried. RELEASE OF FUNDS Ald. Salentine moved to approve a release in the amount of $14,943.33 from the Developer’s Deposit for Champions Village Addition #1 based on the memo dated November 7, 2000 submitted by Brian Turk. Ald. Slocomb seconded; motion carried. VOUCHER APPROVAL Ald. Sanders moved to recommend approval of payment of General Vouchers in the amount of $807,366.23 and Utility Vouchers in the amount of $281,616.42. Ald. Slocomb seconded; motion carried. COMMUNICATIONS AND OTHER BUSINESS AS AUTHORIZED BY LAW The Committee decided that the November 22, 2000 Finance Committee meeting would be canceled since the Thanksgiving Holiday is the following day. The Finance Director will notify the operator applicants. Finance Committee Minutes Page 2 11/14/2000 The Mayor also stated that an application was submitted by Kathleen Farber for an operator’s license. Ms. Farber is currently the agent for the corporation that holds the liquor license for the Broke Spoke. She will no longer be the agent and is applying for an operator’s license. The Committee determined that a current police report should be run for Ms. Farber. The Committee did not believe it was necessary to interview her unless the police report indicated any violations since the report run in April. ADJOURNMENT Ald.
