FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO Approved
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD TUESDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2000
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor De Angelis with Committee
Members Slocomb and Salentine present. Also present were Aldermen Chiaverotti and
Wichgers, Engineering and Building Inspection Director McMullen, Deputy Clerk
Blenski, and those per the attached list. Committee Member Sanders was excused.
The Mayor stated the meeting was noticed in accordance with the Open Meeting Law.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Ald. Slocomb moved to approve the October 4, 2000 minutes with the addition that the
Committee recommended the outside premise for the “Class B” license for VP
Entertainment Corporation be approved until 11:00 p.m. Ald. Salentine seconded;
motion carried.
LICENSE APPROVALS
Ronald Verhaalen was present and submitted the information requested by the
Committee at the October 4, 2000 meeting. Ald. Salentine moved to recommend
approval of the issuance of an Operator’s License to Mr. Verhaalen. Ald. Slocomb
seconded; motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Surplus Equipment - 1989 Toyota Pickup (Plan)
Mr. McMullen stated that repairing the vehicle was not cost effective. Ald. Salentine
moved to dispose of the pickup and sell it. Ald. Slocomb seconded; motion carried.
REDUCTION IN LETTER OF CREDIT - Salentine/Loughney
Ald. Salentine moved to approve a Letter of Credit reduction in the amount of
$84,893.65 for Salentine/Loughney based on the cost breakdown information submitted
by Mr. McMullen. Ald. Slocomb seconded; motion carried.
VOUCHER APPROVAL
Ald. Salentine moved to recommend approval of payment of General Vouchers in the
amount of $342,026.75 and Utility Vouchers in the amount of $15,520.77. Ald.
Slocomb seconded; motion carried.
The Mayor noted a public auction would be held sometime in November to sell the
excess City Hall furnishings.

Ald. Slocomb moved to adjourn at 7:13 p.m. Ald. Salentine seconded; motion carried.
