FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO Approved
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD TUESDAY, APRIL 25, 2000
The meeting was called to order at 7:03 p.m. by Mayor De Angelis. Also present were
Committee Members Slocomb, Salentine and Sanders, Aldermen Chiaverotti, Wichgers
and Le Doux, and Clerk-Treasurer Marenda.
The Mayor stated the meeting was noticed in accordance with the Open Meeting Law.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES - 4/19/00. No comments made. Ms. Marenda asked for a
motion to approve the minutes, but the committee felt that the Council would approve
the minutes at their 4/25/00 meeting. Ms. Marenda said the Council only accepts the
minutes and each committee should approve its own minutes. She was requested to
research further to determine the proper method for approval of committee minutes.
NEW BUSINESS
Discuss Stewardship grant submittal for Veterans Memorial Park - The memo from
Craig Anderson dated April 18, 2000 indicated this grant is similar to last year’s request
which wasn’t granted due to missing the cut off date. The grant request is $257,750,
with the City providing matching funds at 50% in the 2001 budget. The total project
cost will be $515,500. Ald. Salentine moved to recommend approval. Ald. Slocomb
seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
VOUCHER APPROVAL
Ald. Salentine moved to recommend approval of payment of General Vouchers in
amount of $776,805.30, Tax Checks in the amount of $544.20 and Utility Vouchers in
the amount of $628,037.22. Ald. Slocomb seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
ADJOURNMENT
Ald. Sanders moved to adjourn at 7:12 p.m. Ald. Slocomb seconded. Motion carried
3-0.
