FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO Approved
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD TUESDAY, JUNE 8, 1999
The meeting was called to order at 7:13 p.m. by Mayor De Angelis. Committee
members Slocomb, Salentine and Sanders were present. Also present were Aldermen
Le Doux and Patterson (arrv. 7:16 p.m.), and Clerk-Treasurer Marenda.
The Mayor noted that the meeting was noticed in accordance with the Open Meeting
Law.
Review of Minutes
Minutes of the May 19, 1999 meeting were reviewed. Ald. Salentine moved to amend
the minutes to include approval of liquor licenses for Club Durham, Inc. and Dars, Inc.
(Williams Supper Club), which were reviewed at the meeting but not reflected in the
minutes. Ald. Slocomb seconded, motion carried unanimously. It was also noted that
Denise Molkentin would be asked to attend the next Finance Committee meeting for
additional review of her application for operators license.
License Approvals
Ald. Salentine moved for approval of Waterway Marker permit for Muskego Shores
Community Assn. to mark their swimming beach on the east side of Little Muskego
Lake. Ald. Slocomb seconded, motion carried unanimously.
Unfinished Business
Review update to “Filling of Vacancies”. Mayor noted this is one of the policies
included in the draft policy manual discussed at the last meeting. The proposed
amendment to the policy is to add notification of any vacancy to the Finance
Department and eliminate the need to provide a copy of the resignation to the Clerk.
Ald. Sanders moved to approve the amendment. Ald. Slocomb seconded, motion
carried unanimously.
Voucher Approval
Alderman Sanders moved to recommend approval of General Vouchers in the amount
of $446,101.32, Tax Checks in the amount of $1,615.16 and Utility Vouchers in the
amount of $196,569.62. Alderman Salentine seconded; motion carried unanimously.
Alderman Salentine moved to adjourn at 7:28 p.m. Alderman Sanders seconded;
motion carried.
