FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD TUESDAY, APRIL 13, 1999
The meeting was called to order at 7:10 p.m. by Mayor De Angelis. Committee members
Slocomb, Salentine and Sanders were present. Also present were Aldermen Chiaverotti,
Pionek, and Patterson (arrived during the meeting.), Deputy Clerk Blenski, and Jack
Schwabenlender.
The Mayor noted that the meeting was noticed in accordance with the Open Meeting Law.
Review of Minutes
Minutes of the April 7, 1999 meeting were accepted with no changes made.
There were no licenses to review.
Unfinished Business
1. Further review of Subdivider’s Agreement & Letter of Credit - Avian Estates
This item was deferred from the April 7, 1999 meeting to allow for further review by the City’s
consultants. The Mayor stated that the City Attorney and City Engineer have reviewed the
documents and they meet with their approval as requested changes have been made.
Alderman Salentine moved to recommend approval. Alderman Slocomb seconded; motion
carried.
2. Further review request to apply for Stewardship Grant Program - Parks & Recreation
The City will be applying for grants for the development of Kurth Park and Leisure Park. The
grant applications require the City commit funds to the projects in the event grant money is
received. Money has been budgeted for the development of Kurth Park. The City needs to
commit funds to develop Leisure Park. Alderman Salentine moved to commit $150,000 for the
development of Leisure Park if grant money is received by the City. Alderman Slocomb
seconded; motion carried.
There was no new business for discussion.
Voucher Approval
Alderman Sanders moved to recommend approval of General Vouchers in the amount of
$804,065.82, Tax Checks in the amount of $329,305.61, and Utility Vouchers in the amount of
$86,986.93. Alderman Slocomb seconded; motion carried unanimously.
Alderman Slocomb moved to adjourn at 7:31 p.m. Alderman Salentine seconded; motion
carried.
