FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 1998
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. by Mayor De Angelis. Committee
members Slocomb, Salentine and Sanders were present. Also present were Aldermen
Woodard, Chiaverotti, and Pionek, and Deputy Clerk Blenski.
The Mayor announced that the meeting was noticed in accordance with the Open
Meeting Law.
Review of Minutes
Minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed, with no additions or corrections noted.
Unfinished Business
1. Further review of bids and recommendation for Library Site Grading.
The following bids were received:
James Cape & Sons $277,441
Henry Marohl, Inc. $629,990
Schneider Excavating $388,103
The Mayor stated that a letter from Durrant Architects was received which
recommended that James Cape & Sons be awarded the contract in the amount of
$277,441, which was well below the budgeted amount. Alderman Slocomb moved to
recommend the award to James Cape & Sons. Alderman Salentine seconded. Motion
carried unanimously.
There was no new business.
Voucher Approval
Alderman Salentine moved to recommend approval of General Vouchers in the amount
of $429,363.33 and Utility Vouchers in the amount of $49,175.68. Alderman Slocomb
seconded. Motion carried unanimously.
Alderman Sanders moved to adjourn at 7:17 p.m. Alderman Slocomb seconded.
Motion carried.
