FINANCE COMMITTEE - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD TUESDAY, JULY 28, 1998
The meeting was called to order at 7:12 p.m. by Mayor De Angelis with Committee members
Slocomb and Salentine present. Also in attendance were Aldermen Chiaverotti, Woodard, and
Patterson, Deputy Clerk Blenski, and those per the attached list. Alderman Sanders was not
present.
The Mayor noted the meeting was noticed in accordance with the Open Meeting Law.
The minutes of the 7/22/98 meeting were accepted with the following language added to the
paragraph regarding the hiring of an attorney for upcoming legal issues on page 3: “During
discussion of this issue, Mr. Dyer called the Aldermen’s Room to inform the committee that he
believed there was a conflict of interest with Quarles & Brady. The Mayor advised Mr. Dyer
that the committee could not take telephone input during an open meeting.”
License Application
Mr. David Davidson was requested to reappear before the Finance Committee. The
committee interviewed the applicant and reviewed additional information from the Police
Department. Alderman Salentine moved to recommend approval of operator’s license for
David Davidson subject to a 3, 6, 9 and 12-month review. Alderman Slocomb seconded;
motion carried.
New Business
1. Authorize Final Release of Funds and Acceptance of Improvements - Lakewood Meadows
Addition #1
Alderman Slocomb moved to approve a final release for Lakewood Meadows Addition #1 in
the amount of $28,003.91, with $6,792 being distributed to the City and $21,211.91 being
distributed to the Developer pursuant to the July 28, 1998 memo from Director of Planning
Matthew Sadowski. Alderman Salentine seconded; motion carried unanimously.
Voucher Approval
Alderman Salentine moved to recommend approval of General Fund vouchers in the amount
of $447,712.10, Tax Checks in the amount of $1,547.26, and Utility Vouchers in the amount of
$351,151.19. Alderman Slocomb seconded; motion carried unanimously.
Adjournment
Alderman Slocomb moved to adjourn at 7:26 p.m. Seconded by Alderman Salentine; motion
carried.
